Scratchmaster DJ! 
Alex K is a dj that prides himself in providing a unique yet relative style of mixing and scratching. Incorporating many musical genres, his main interest and most preferred style is of the funkier side of house and breakbeat.
With many previous residencies prior to Detached and Read The Crowd, including 14 months at The Cross Club, monthly, (Liquid & Progression), also a resident dj at Pu Na Na, Clifton, in Bristol, weekly for over three years, during term in his Uni daze, Alex has covered much of the London and Bristol circuits, and many others in between.
Recent sets include Smartie Partie at Turnmills and Filthy House Sessions at the Key Club, also the Chunnel Club, The Complex/Satellite Club, The Colliseum, Leisure Lounge and in Bristol, Creation, Living Rooms, Level, DoJo and Fez bars. Also many south east residencies/dj sets, (Enzo’s, Highpost, nr Salisbury; The Manor, Ringwood etc, etc), also dj sets internationally, including San Francisco, Tenerife and Spain.
But, the main influences that shape Alex's style is that of free-party and house party, ‘eclectic’ vibes. A resident Dj for 'power of dance',(pod sound system) for over five years, beginning early in '92. Starting a record collection back in the early 90’s 'Hardcore' era, he remembers the crossover point when he first got deeply into house, but never ever leaving the breakbeat roots his mixing developed on. The source of his unique style becomes apparent from this background. Alex has extensive music & dj knowledge and prides himself in always keeping ahead & staying in touch with the underground scene.
