Greetings! I'm Alex. I'm half Russian/half South African, born in Camden Town, NW London.
I love Hardcore religiously as a DJ and raver.
I work as a video editor by day having been talented practicing it since my early teens. I studied Digital Video Production & Animation to Masters Degree level. Music & video editing are lifelong geeky hobbies I grew up with which I'm fortunate now both pay me professionally. I listen to all music, but above all I like anything from the 80s (big Michael Jackson fan), metal, classical and of course UK hardcore!

From being a truly hardcore raver, I became very involved in the London hardcore scene. My long-term mission was to see Hardcore become London's top club scene like in the Midlands. There hadn’t been much hardcore in the capital but since getting involved in late 2006, I'd seen it pick up greatly with many events born & returning to the capital during 2007-08 when not a weekend passed without a hardcore event making London a real hardcore hotspot. Recession hit the scene badly however in London above all being an expensive city with so much musical competition. Only Freeformation & Epidemik survived strong.

I've helped every London hardcore event promoter over my years in the scene in among the following ways: organising lineups, flyer design/graphics, online written PR, reviews, nationwide flyer distribution and more, as well as DJs, MCs & dancers with bookings. I've had my review articles notably published on Nu Energy Collective's official website news page. I always help promoters setting up at events and de-rigging, as a lot of work goes in to putting raves on & it doesn't just end there for the crew, so every little helps is my mentality :-) If there's a hardcore event in London or a big one elsewhere in the country, I'm sure to be there doing 1 of the following:

Promotional Help - Helping promoters boost their hardcore events in London with 1 to 1 PR, flyer distribution, demo collection, setting up before the event and de-rigging at the end. Spreading info about upcoming events face to face with clubbers at every single hardcore event I attend every weekend, especially in the Capital. Afterall I still haven't missed a single one since getting involved 4 years ago :-)

Merchandising - Working at Klubflyer/Paradox Promotions rave stalls selling clubbing merchandise, CDs, tickets for upcoming London events and building mailing lists.

Filming - Using my expertise as a video production professional to film events and make DVDs. (Currently unavailable due to my many other obligations)

Reviewing Events - Writing reviews on every London hardcore event for posting on the net, to increase rave forum activity and boost the London Hardcore scene's internet presence. Helping ravers keep track of what they missed. Generating discussion and debate about London Hardcore events. What's hot, & what's not!

Stage Dancing - Ravers, DJs & MCs have long complimented my dancing at events as adding great energy to parties. People are surprised to learn I dance naturally having never done drugs in my life. My musical love is the drive. I got my first dance booking in November 2006 at Hardcore Xpression. Soon after I had residency at Happy Nation monthly events and gradually I ended up regularly dancing on stage at every hardcore event in the Capital, including Freeformation, Epidemik, Raindance, Polysexual, Tasty, Ballistic Beats, Happy Nation, Hysteria & Dance Energy. I've had the privilege of dancing on stage to Top DJ Sets by the likes of Billy Daniel Bunter, Kevin Energy and alongside Top MCs like Spenno, Rizla Dizla, Lyrical Groover, Chit Chat, Livelee, even MC Storm on rare occasion when he didn't mind sharing the stage with someone else. It's been a pleasure also dancing alongside Twisted Bliss, DNA & Sugah Dee dancers.


Modeling - I got back into modeling recently in 2009 via my work contacts in film production. I've had a handful of photo shoots so far and am working towards enlarging my portfolio. If interested email me and I will gladly showcase what I've done so far. Sample pic below.


Graphic Design - I design event flyers, CD artwork, and other promotional graphics. I've previously notably designed artwork for DJ MORGAN (Hard Dance Awards 2008 Album featured artist, HDA 2008 Best Newcomer Runner Up, GoodGreef Resident and 3rd Largest Group on DSI).
