I'm Ami and I love the bass!!!

I'm 21 and have been going raving for about 5 years now.

When i was a kid i can always remember my big sis (Kit) dancing around her bedroom to some mad and lively music, i used to listen to where she had been that weekend with her mates and wonder what the hell she was on about, talking about Blackmarket and Zinc, i mean i thought that was something to do with science, but god was i wrong.....

Then i got my first taste of a drum and bass rave (life suddenly became more interesting).

My sister took me to my first rave at SE1 when i was about 16. All of a sudden every one was dancing in the same mad way like my sister and none of them seemed to care what they looked like, they just all seemed to be having a wicked time.

So then i decided to try this mad dancing, that i had been watching my sister do for years, and i loved it, it came so naturally and all i payed attention to now was not the mad dancers but the bass line dropping and listening in for the next tune. I BLOODY LOVED IT!!!

And then for weeks after i couldn't wait for school to finish so i could go to the next rave and then next. Sitting in Maths lessons with head phones in boppin and bouncing to Andy C and Hype whilst the teacher went on about algebra or something.

My mates just couldn't understand what i was going on about and why i couldn't wait to get on a train London every weekend, and dance for ten hours.

Then train it all the way back home in the day light, watching people go to work or out Saturday shopping with their families, whilst i was looking well knackered, and wasted with my sister and still get up the next day ready for the next rave!

All i could say to them was, "you have obviously never been to a drum and bass rave, otherwise you would know!!!!

Then we took my mate Ellie her 1st rave at Mass in Brixton (bit of a mad place to start but...) and now she hangs on waiting for the weekends too....

And now we're at 2007 and all i can say is BRING ON THE BASS!!!
