Hello everyone!

Here is a little bit of DJ info about me, I hope you enjoy reading it :) You can join my DSI Group - April Keeman - Dark City to keep updated on what I'm getting up to.

I wanted to learn how to DJ the first time I ventured into a club and saw the DJ whip the crowd up into a frenzy. So at the beginning of 2003 I started learning how to mix hard trance and hard house. As I had been an clubber for a few years I knew many DJ's and promoters, so I had lots of support from those with tonnes of experience.

Then in March of that year I got my first gig, on the same line-up as Paul Janes and Ilogik, I was very happy about that! Since then I have played for Slinky, Fevah, Decadance, and for many other promotions and club nights up and down the country (NZ). I have co-hosted two radio shows - 'Smitten' and 'Two Juicy Tomatoes'. While DJing in NZ I supported many International DJ's on their tours - Tara Reynolds, Justin Bourne, Uberdruck, MisBehavin, Vicki Devine, Matt Clarke, Skol, Roosta, Dan Ro, and others.

In 2006 I made the big move from NZ to London to give DJing a go right in the heart of it. That year I played for HUJE, Genetic, Warped and was made a resident for SPIN. In July of 2006 I made the finals of the Tidy/DJ Mag DJ competition. Since then I have played for Frantic, Extreme Euphoria, Tidy and Knowwhere. A couple of highlights of 2007 have been playing in the main room of Heaven for Extreme Euphoria, my b2b set with Phil Reynolds at the Harderfaster Xmas party, warming up the main room at Koko for Frantic's 10th Birthday, and Djing at the Tidy Weekender 11 in Wales.

Recently I started branching out into electro (the dirty, sexy kind, none of this minimal crap, haha) and DJ under the name of April Bordeaux. My first electro gig was a b2b set with my partner in crime Danny Long-legs (Dan Andres) at the legendary Turnmills.
