Alright everyone, how's it goin?

My name's Steve, I'm 23 and finished a 4 year stint at Northumbria Uni in the summer of 2006. Since then I've managed to get myself a job as a software tester - sounds boring but its actually alright, lets see how I feel in a couple of years. It pays well though so that works for me. Workin for the weekend!!

Only really been goin to proper clubs since I left Uni. Of course I went clubbing before this, often a few times a week and usually had some really good nights, but I mostly went to the more commercial clubs. I have a very broad taste in music so most things please me. I'd been to Talltrees a few times and spent 2 weeks in Magaluf when I was 20 and until 2006 I thought the clubs over there were amazing. A couple of weeks after my Graduation Day I went to Ibiza with 8 of my mates and it was the best week of my life at the time. The 1st night was my mate's 21st and we went to Cream @ Amnesia to see Ferry Corsten & Paul van Dyk and that was the most impressive night out I'd ever had! As well as that we also went to Manumission, Eden, Es Paradis and Space. We were there for the Radio 1 One Big Weekend events on the Sunset Strip and in Amnesia and caught the start of the Ibiza Rocks events.

Once I got home all my usual clubs just seemed so shit compared to what I'd been enjoying on The White Isle. But there was an answer to my prayers - a couple of very good clubs back home in Newcastle that I'd hardly been to. I'd never been to Cosmic Ballroom before, but I've since been there and had some really good nights out. The hard trance, house and electro nights, such as Habit, Freaky Dancing, GoodGreef vs Junior G are amazing, and I'd rate Cosmic as one of the best clubs in town. I'd been to Digital a few times before Ibiza but not often. Now it's fair to say that I'm a Digital regular, especially since I'm in there nearly every week. I've been to a load of Shindig's and a lot of Evolve and Wax:On nights. This is definately my favourite club in Newcastle and I can see myself clubbing here for years to come.

Now I go to Talltrees whenever there is a big GoodGreef night on - seen Eddie Halliwell & Co on the GG vs Fire It Up event and also saw Sander van Doorn for the Ibiza Warmup. Went to Godskitchen at the Newcastle Arena with Eric Morillo and Armin van Buuren, and Armin's set just blew me away. Also went to the Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem in Leeds at the end of May. Unfortunately I didn't make it to Global Gathering but there is always next year.

Went back to Ibiza again this August, at the same time of year as last time. It was fucking awesome. This time there was 11 lads, 3 lasses & 2 unexpected guests dossing in our hotel, and another couple of groups of guys and gals staying up the road. This time around was even better than last year. There was more of us, loads of friends there at the same time and better line ups. Since the 1st year I appreciate dance music a whole lot more, and I can't wait to get back for a 3rd time next summer.
