Brighton Loft Party
Set up as a feeling rather than a location for dance music lovers both young and not so young anymore by three established Brighton based promoters and dj's (Drkhrse, Senior Mick and Broadcast Loft Party)
Founded as a alternative to mainstream club music, Brighton Loft Parties concentrate on providing an alternative mix of dance music for party enthusiasts who like to get down and throw shapes with like minded clubbers from across the broad spectrum of Brighton's Underground Clubbing Community, whilst still maintaining the city's rich underground dance music heritage
Having already provided djing support for Josh Wink, Gilles Peterson, Cass and Mangan, The Happy Mondays, Grooverider, The Mad Professor, The Banana Clan, Lazer Magnetic, and Warp Records, to name a few
and also throwing parties with Greg Wilson and staging Kemp Town Carnivals only Dance Sound System for the past 2 years, Brighton Loft Party would like to welcome you along to the party where ever it may be held
So far in 2007 we have staged parties with Greg Wilson and The Streetlife DJs, both of which are very unknown to Brighton's Clubbing Communitiy, whilst maintaining an underground party ethos born out of years experience on Brighton's more eclectic and certainly underground party scene
Musically, if You were to ask us what style of music we play we will always give the same response, LOFT PARTY MUSIC
We aren't bothered if the styles we play are new or not new, in our eyes there are only TWO types of music, good and not good
Trends and popularity in music come and go, especially on the dance scene so don't expect a whole night of the most bang up to date tracks made 5 minutes ago, or indeed a night of tunes that are all made more than 5 minutes ago
All three of us have been around a long time and individually we've all kept away from being genre specific in our careers as dj's, and that's why after all this time we are still here and will be for a long time to come
