Hi guys! My names Carl and I live in Charminster. Im not originally from here but to be fair who is these days. In the 7 or 8 years ive been here ive had the privalage in hooking up with some amazing people from every walk of life, some of whom have ended up being some of my closest, dearest and maddest friends.
As far as clubbing goes I was a Slinky regular and a total sucker for Cheeky little Monkey! Ive had some of the best nights ever in the Showbar and Passion dancing like a maniac to the best stomping hard house tunes.
Im also a Dj and ive held residencies in Passion, Rubys and the Empire Club over the last few years and am now part of the Frenzy crew with Cheeky Scott, Wilma, Dirty inc & MNKY & RYKI. In the early days we were based @Passion and the Showbar followed by a monthly residency @the Empire Club for a year. Our new home is@Dusk till Dawn where we hold residency on two successful nights a month namely Frenzy and Subpop. We also make guest apperances for Resonate@The Old Fire Station and weve just hooked up with Nu Religion@Mass and the Tidy Boys@the opera house which i must say im just a little bit proud of if im honest!
I usually play Funky Dirty Electro in one room and High Nrg Hard House in another. To be fair though im likely to play anything that puts a smile on you face! If its got a sweet vocal somewhere in it somewhere its probably in my bag. That'll be those darned years i spent djing on the gay scene that did it!!!
I was fortuneate enough to marry my best friend Debs this year so i do spend slightly less time clubbing to be honest but it hasnt changed my obsession with the toons in any way! Infact im sure im going through some kind of 42nd wind since i got into cdjs and all things digital! I know that may challenge the staunch vinyl junkies out there but i have held the flag well and truly high for the holy Technics for about 15 years or so now and my loft is bulging with record boxes so please lets get past that one sharpish aye! Its time to move on or die in my humble opinion so there! Digital rocks!
