A bit about D-K-B

Hey Hey and welcome to my profile :-)

I began my journey as a DJ at the early age of 11, having only found my love for dance music just one year before. First started out mixing Drum ‘n’ Bass and after mastering this I moved onto House and Trance, it didn't take long for me to grow a strong desire for the harder genres and so moved onto Hard House / Hard Trance. After many years of mixing these styles I found myself edging towards a faster, more energetic genre known as Hardcore and to this present day still spin on the decks and will still be doing so for many years to come. In the middle of 2008 I also found another love waiting in the Hard Dance scene consisting of the darker, harder sounds of Hardstyle and most recently, Gabba.

Producing my own music has always been a dream of mine, making my ideas a reality. It was early 2008 that I pursued this and started learning how to go about it and feel I have come a long way with my productions, learning new techniques each day. I have a number of tracks in the works and am always working on something new, whether it be ideas coming to light in my head and writing them down or sitting there in the studio bringing them ideas to life. Although mainly producing Hardcore at the moment and edging towards the Gabba I am producing some Hardstyle and will have some Hard Dance under my name too, so expect to hear alot of variety in my productions.

Late 2008 I departed away from the scene as a DJ, starting out at the age of 11 on the decks this is all I knew and was how I entered the rave life, knowing the music I loved and never really experiencing the scene from the other side of the DJ box. Since doing this I have got a whole new perspective of the scene, not only as a DJ but now also as a raver and as a result a different person has returned and come to light. Changing my name to D.K.B not just a new name but signifying a new person within myself that has been let out and is now able to express himself, with my love greater more than ever for the scene I aim to bring you a whole new experience that will not be forgotten easily.

Blazed

Recently I have gained residency at a new local event to hit the Torquay area named Blazed. Since holding their first event in October '09 it has already become a fond favourite amongst the local raving community, holding their nights on the 1st and 3rd saturday of every month playing all styles of the harder genres from Hard Dance to Gabba and with each night getting bigger, better and stronger as it goes along this is definately an event to keep an eye on for the future. Blazed have set themselves some high aims and goals for 2010 and is sure to succeed.
