Music gripped Dan from an early age. At just 14 Dan got hold of his first set of turntables and a half decent P.A and began putting on parties for birthdays of local friends and family. As his reputation grew, bookings began to mount up and became a weekly affair for over 5 years.
It was a family trip to Ibiza in 1999 that really opened his eyes and it didn’t take long for him to see that he wanted a piece of the action. Within a year Dan was signed up on the radio broadcasting course at Galaxy 101 fm in Bristol where things started to progress quickly. Meeting his local idols such as Paul Conroy, Deli G and Lisa Kelly, Dan began to support them with general studio work and operations. Meanwhile studying at a college in Bristol, Dan took A Level music and music Technology.
After graduating college Dan took a side step with music tech and started to concentrate on getting more work as a DJ and began sending out mixes, Soon coming into contact with Matt Johnson who was a club promoter from Newport. Matt was in the development stages with a night called “New City Sound” and it was in May 2005 when he took Dan under his wing and got him his first few gigs in Wales. Together they landed gigs in several bars and soon became residencies at Vodka Revolution in Bristol under “NCS”. Dan’s reputation soon grew fast and other booking soon came in around the southwest.
Playing a range of house music Dan has played at some very high profile nights and clubs including, Turnmills, Hed Kandi, Gods Kitchen, Timbuk2, Warehouse, Electroquisite and Miss Moneypennies. Playing alongside dj’s such as Joey Negro, Eric Prydz and Freemasons, Dan is also a resident at a IDJ Award Winning night Called SOL which is held weekly @ Bar Ha Ha in Bath (southwest).
