A bit about Darren-Grant

Darren first fell in love with dance music at a very young age when he came across a “acid house” tape his older brother had. From that moment on Darren was on the look out for as much repetitive beat music as he could get his hand’s on.

As Darren got older he started going to under 18 event’s, this is where he got to see where the tape’s he had been listening too, had more than likely came from. This totally opened his eye’s to the dance scene, he couldn’t get over how the dj had the crowd in the palm of his hand, working them with each and every mix. Darren was blown away by this, and knew from that very second he wanted to be able to do that to a crowd someday.

In the mid 90’s Darren got his first set of deck’s and there was no stopping him. He spent every spare minute mixing, it was like an addiction to him.
Also around this time he hooked up with a friend by the name of Joe (Joey Riot), they both had the same vision when it came to Hardcore music. This led to them forming a duo call TLM. With TLM they decided to turn there hand to producing, which brought them to the attention of the biggest promoters in Scotland (Rezerection, Back To The Future, M8 magazine events). They play out to 2000+ people at these events, which to date is one Darren’s proudest achievements.

So far Darren has got 4 vinyl release under his belt now (Maximum Impact records, Lethal Theory Raw records, HCC records & FBI records) with more on the horizon.

Darren is also resident dj at 2 of the south coast's most happening nights, they are:
VIBEALIVE@The Honey Club, Brighton
&
HIGH VELOCITY@The Mud Club, Bognor Regis....

He's been back in the studio for the 1st time in about 4 years, so look out for some new tracks coming your way soon!!!
