Hi, Im Rob AKA Dj BSP.. A Midlands based Dj who plays UK Hardcore, Trance & Dance Anthems..

The styles of music I play are the one's I listen to myself and although it would probably be better for me as a Dj to stick to one genre, I love all the music I play so therefore I cant..

Primarily, Dj'ing is my hobby but I always like to play out wherever and whenever I can..

Generally, I like to play a set that mixes up current and recent tracks with those timeless classics that bring back those memories from yesteryear..

I got into the Dance Scene in 1991 / 92 after hearing 'Rave' and Piano House tracks that broke into the charts and various mixtapes from clubnights and events. Even though I was only 13 at the time, I decided I wanted to apart of this new scene I had found out about and decided I wanted to become a Dj!! In May 1994 after I'd left school, I got a job and started to buy Hardcore vinyl from the local record shop and built up my collection for my forthcoming christmas present.. A pair of Soundlab DLP3 decks!

I learnt myself to mix by listening to a Dj Brisk tape that i had from Club Kinetic. I had the 1st two tracks on the tape so i slapped them on the decks & continually tried to beat match them like the tape untill i got it right, grasping the concept behind mixing. Other Dj's that influenced me included Rat Pack, Slipmatt, Vibes, Sy, Seduction & Dougal who all played the happier side of the music and it was then that i founded an organisation called Bombsite Promotions..

My friend wanted to be the resident MC and I was the Bombsite Promotions resident DJ which led me to having the name Dj BSP..

In 1998 I started listening to Dave Pearce's Dance Anthems show on Radio 1 which is when I got more into House and Trance after hearing Paul Van Dyk's For An Angel, Binary Finary's 1998 and Agnelli and Nelson's El Nino. I liked these tracks and others and from then on I got more into Trance and started playing Trance aswell as Hardcore liking Dj's like Dave Pearce, Paul Van Dyk and Ferry Corsten etc..

So, after many years of buying vinyl, collecting flyers and tapepacks, going to various clubs and festivals and playing warm up, peak time and early morning sets at Clubs, Bars and Makeshift Events, this pretty much brings us to the present day..

Thanks to continued promotion and pestering Ive enjoyed getting booked to play at events with Dj's Daz Willot, Nick Rafferty, Fracus, JP & Juksey, Jay Prescott, Devastate, Jon Dixon, Yaz, Jimmy Dean, Ben X-Treme, Laura May, Antix, Dave Pearce, AJ Gibson, John Askew, Tyler Leigh, Paul Kershaw, Dj Seduction, Breeze, Al Storm, Cally Gage, Fergus, Cruze, Topvibe, Hatty, Paul Manx and Graeme Harrison to name drop a few..

And bookings at events with promoters Fixation, Total Eclipse, Cruze-In, B2T, AK-SES, Hardcore Is The Future, Magnetic, Energize, Formula, Pressure, Electrickery, Fusion*, Entity, Higher State, Tranceform, Adrenalin, Slide, Essence, Hardcore Devotion, Nailed, Technosis, Optical, Skint, Hardslide, Destruction, Kaos, Expozure, History Of Hardcore, Time, Head Rush, Oblivion, Rush Hour, Overloaded, Invasion, Genesis, Evolve, Korruption, Enigma, Friction, Destruction, Sensation & Reach amongst others..

I also gave Dave Pearce a few of my mix cd's and he gave me this shout out on his Dance Anthems show on Radio 1..
