Known to some as 'cheesy Lee' others as 'Funk da Bass' and to the rest of the gilted generation 'Darren Lee - aka X-KON'. A long time party veteran who was whistled away from his home town of Loughboourgh, by the masters of pied piper ism - 'Fantasia '. Darren attended this first rave in 1992 at Castle Donnington's 'Fantasia 2' and has been affected ever since. (He just can't get enough of those crazy electric breaks beats).

Educated in a wide variety of music -the recorder, Knockareena, Triangle and various other popular instruments such as Keyboard, Drums, Bass, Guitar & personal favorite.... The Didgeridoo!! Darren Lee now boasts of 17 years in the music industry -Promoting, performing live, Djing and Producing.

Darren's creative talents led him to art college but then realized living on a bus, traveling the UK WITH A BIG SOUND SYSTEM WAS MUCH MORE FUN!!!! So decided Play out his passion for techno and a life on the road - meeting some of the most influential people in his life.

10 years on and Darren with a new addition to his family 'son - Leon' found himself grounded in Northampton. with three event promotions under his belt - 'Club Pluto, Hypnodrum , Higher State and residency at 'The Mad House' He soon started to play out regularly and become a name in his town.

6 years down the line with second child in tow 'Myla', Darren managed to run, create, print and distribute an underground music magazine in the midlands area -Seen Magazine, using his artistic flare in art direction, photography and design. This is where his marketing and promotional skills developed and became an important part of forming the collaboration between events and his magazine (Where the 'FREQUENCY' drum n bass party's were born.

Darren joined with Apply the breaks crew for an event link up between 'ATB' and Frequency, which ending up being a stormer of a party. And since then Darren has become a proud member of the ATB Family and has proved to be an integral part of promoting, Management and the Organization of collaboration of events,

Latest info on this bare chested party animal, is that after having a 'momentary lapse of reason' Selling Double glazing for Living and nursing an Alcoholic friend; he is back in full swing - not just promoting some monthly event, but a whole Festival of over 120 Artist in the Heart of the Uk's Surfing capital and sun mecca... Newquay! (Nothing like jumping out of the pan and into the fire eh chief?)
