Hi im dj dubley aka ben.
I have been into raving and hard beats and bassline since the age of 17.
i first started off with the influence of hard house and trance. i spent many a night raving at crazy daisys in coventry and at all the gatecrasher events at the nec and the global events in the summer. i was heavily influenced by lisha lashes, the tidy boys and bk.
after a few years on the hard house scene my flavour changed into breaks and i started dabbling into breakbeat and seeing the like os stanton warriors, plump djs and adam freeland.
then i founf my true love in late 2002. drum and bass, jungle. what can i say about this type of music. i fooking love it. i love it hard fast and dirty and drum and bass is the one for me. i grew up on the influences of randell, shy fx, mampi swift, andy c, mickey finn, fabio, grooverider, jumping jack frost, dr s gachet and many more. then my taste swayed to the dirtier more intense side of d&b with my favourite producers being tech itch, teebee, noisia, spor, phace, swift etc. and my fav dj being the one like the MAMPI SWIFT.
you can catch me raving and shaking my booty at most d&b nights around the country theres not many i havent been too. but due to commitments etc now. you will mostly find me at local nights in and around the nottingham midlands area. but just occasionally i will venture out to the big ones.
i am also a keen d&b dj and you can catch me every saturday and every other sunday on www.kindafunkyradio.com 2-4pm banging it out hard and dirty. you can also catch me at nights in and around the nottingham, mansfield, derby and bedford areas!!
i am a resident for the sanxion nights at time in derby and also a resident for a new night called beans on toast at moog in nottingham every second monday of the month.
i also mix breakbeat and am a resident for moog in nottingham for breaks and drum and bass
