DJ/Producer George Cross’ love of dance music erupted when Rave dropped in the early 90s. He began to develop an obsession with hardcore, house, garage and underground techno, especially Colin Dale's ‘Outer Limits’ show on KISS FM, Fantazia, and nights at legendary UK venues Sterns, Zanies and Golden Hill Fort. This passion led to George DJing in local clubs, sourcing new music any which way he could.
Big influences over the years include Aphex Twin, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Trans Europe Express, Luke Slater and Basic Channel, which is evident in his production and DJ sets. After the success of 'Spark' [SKM004], which received 8/10 in top dance music magazine iDJ, gigs were soon secured across Europe, including a night sponsored by Nixon Watches at Portugal’s oldest nightclub.
George's music has been supported by top DJs Brendon Moeller, Tania Vulcano and Cristian Varela, to name but a few, and iDJ reviewer Lee Smith compared his sound to Carl Craig’s BFC era, stating “Fans of Redshape, Black Dog and other classically inclined types should investigate forthwith”.
