SPECIALISING IN PLAYING THE FINEST IN UNDERGROUND BEATS FROM AROUND THE GLOBE

A simple introduction is probably best. Mums The Word Productions was created in the early 90’s from a South London location. The company was formed purely out of our passion for House music. We began as an underground promotion, which produced and performed its own unique sense of music.

Mums The Word Productions has an independent label, which has a considerable number of artists contracted on our books however we are constantly expanding, always on the lookout for fresh and inspiring acts. The production team is made up of talented producers who between them have over a decade’s worth of music experience.

Mums The Word Productions produces aesthetic House music, which is synonymous with the Old Skool followers of house and garage and is something we feel is missing from the industry at this present moment.

Over the last 6/7years an incredible transition has taken place. Mums The Word Productions have fused traditional house music with funky live vocals and instrumental sounds thus filling the missing gap in the music scene, creating a truly and unbelievable experience.

DJING HISTORY
My love for music goes back a very long way, being the person that I am I have always maintained the vision, seen the Trends well before others and pushed the boundaries before change and the development of fresh new music. I have kept ahead of the game by using this ability and taking chances. Although I have and can play all types of music from 60s, 70s 80s,90s to Hip Hop, pop club classics my musical style at present of Deep & Jackin West Coast House is presently causing a stir within the London clubs, bringing an exciting new bumping & lively vibe. My regular bookings have been Big at Studio 33 & various nights at Aquarium. Café de Paris, Good Life at The Egg Club, Turnmills, Ministry of Sound, The Waterfront, CC Club, Opium, Sesto, Glasshouse and my weekly parties at my own venue the Whitehouse are only just a small number of the clubs that I have played at.
I have just ended my DJ residency every Saturday at Escapade nightclub in Croydon which won the BEDA award for the best club in the south of England 2005 alongside DJ and producer Brasstooth. I am currently in the process of consulting & organizing events in London and joint promotions soon in Leeds.
I’ am currently running my latest production called BEATDOWN once a month at The Brixton Telegraph which is packed every month and is building from strength to strength with the finest quality djs and the best clubbers. At present we are achieving regular attendance of between 500 – 600 spread over two rooms of a club which holds 700 people and this is just the beginning.

RADIO EXPERIENCE
I became involved with Energy 87.9 FM, which at the time were one of the first and defiantly most cutting edge pirate dance radio stations in the UK from the mid 1980s. The station DJ’s included the likes of Terry Francis, Colin Dale, Dave Mothersole & DJ Bailey. In 1992 when I launched my own radio station in Phat 107.6 FM, which at the time was taking the London airwaves by storm; this ran for three years until it was dissolved through spiraling equipment losses due to theft. I am now currently DJing on London’s best House music station UNKNOWN FM every Tuesday from 16.00 until 18.00, The Drive time show. You can also tune in live on the internet at www.unknownfm.net

FUN MUZIK RECORDING STUDIOS
I have also had built a fully equipped digital recording studio with a live booth. I’ am currently working on a couple of new recording artist’s projects and intend on releasing lots of fresh music by the end of summer 2007.
