Was right into chicago house & acid house way back when it all started 85-86.It was a new kind of thing back then.Bought shit loads of tunes, everything i could get my hands on.You had to search out the tunes. That was a mission.
Got my first Technics 1210 mk2`s(still have them) around 87-88 time.Had the tunes..needed to mix.Mike Bolton aka PFM was then starting playin out & gave me a few pointers in how to mix.Was hooked from then on & spent all my time learning the craft.
Started out playing at OBSESSION run by SIMARK around Yarmouth. He later had the right contacts to start making tunes(with Ozone).Hooked up with John(other half of TEKNIQ) at a party & he was interested in making a few tunes. We had a very basic set up, but laid down some tracks.
Did three 12`s for sheffields OZONE RECORDS , rave and house style tracks engineered by a guy who produced with UTAH SAINTS(oldschool rave act). Our second 12 did well in Japan of all places and got to number 5 in the japanease dance chart.Strange......
Started doing PA`s coz that was the thing back then.RICHARDS PARTIES,OLYMPIA,DANCE PARADISE & a few other places. Was a resident at INTENSE in Norwich`s Peppermint park.Mental little rave venue.Did loads of illegals all over Norfolk.Just out every weekend going to every party & rave going.Mad for it.
Started to build a studio and put all our money we made into buyin new gear.
Started to get noticed with our tunes & sent off a load of tapes to various record companies.DJ DANCE had hooked us up with DJ SS just after he had started FORMATION RECORDS.Got our foot in the door.SS liked our tunes and it went from there...
Went to Leicester and worked on some stuff with SS & EQ for the F PROJECT label.Did about three 12`s on that.Still rave breakbeat stuff(D`n`B not runnin yet).SS was just waiting for us to come up with something big to put out on the Formation main label.
From early drum&bass onwards.
Big up the DJ SS for letting us copy the original AMEN break. Was well hard to get hold of back then.Traveled to Leicester alot to work with SS on many a tune. That man dam knows how to rinse out breaks & b-lines.Big up...
Did the `colours` UK tour & `the world of drum & bass` UK tour.With MENTAL POWER,SS & WARREN G,JOHN B,SHY FX,RANDALL,KEMISTRY & STORM,JUICE MAN...plus loads more to many to mention.
Was resident at CAMOFLAUGE in Norwich.Had everyone come down and play:Grooverider,RoniSize,Randall,Kenny Ken....Loads of the big dj`s at the time.Big up to Skoobs also representin the Friday night crew.

Things just kicked off.Loads of tunes on FORMATION like `Best of both worlds ep`,`PowerPlay`,`World of drum & bass` `Colours`too many to list here.(Check DISCOGS if your interested)
