Well.....Brought up around the rave scene from an early age it didn't take long before Jonny Slide was well into dance music and the hardcore scene itself. When He was 14 Jonny was bored of just listening to the music, he wanted to start mixing himself. He "borrowed" 2 record decks, no pitch control just 33/45...(these were old dusty things out the attick), as you can guess it took him a long time to get the hang of beat matching but with a bit of help from (and he'll always be greatfull) his mate vinny (who had a set of 1210's) he was mixing up tunes and building his own recognisable style. Anything fom hardcore to house,dnb,old skool,comercial trance and techno he pretty much covered all aspects of dance music. The more he was getting into the rave scene, the more records he was buying....he'd got the raveing bug!! As time when't on he wanted to start playing out, so, together with some mates he started putting on parties of his own, they called themselfs TopBuzz (..bit of a ripoff but it sounded good). He then heard something called HARDSTYLE..., and hard trance had grown into a different sound so Jonny started buying hard trance and hardstyle and took every opotunity to play out more.After a couple of years as TopBuzz came to an end Jonny moved off and the party became Free4all,this then progressed to Subtech, doing partys in local pubs in and around Bedford. Whilst all this was going on he was also playing for various other promotions such as High Voltage(www.wsrecords.com)and Repect4, whilst still maintaing his roots in the free party scene. Now, in 2009, no longer promoting and party organising but building his own following back in his home town of Bedford, Jonny Slide wants to concentrate more this year on DJing, he's also producing his own tracks and getting them out there!!
