KarloFunk
“It’s extremely fascinating that you can change a person’s state of mind through music. You can take people along in an illusion, to a universe of energy and positive vibes of solidarity. People that go to a party separately become a unity. The interaction of the grooves, the positive vibes and the people, could possibly lead to a peaceful society, even if it’s just for a little while. This continues to inspire me.” KarloFunk
Being brought up in a musical surrounding it seemed to be obvious that he, whenever he could, was always the one to take care of the music. When turning tables became more than a hobby, he instinctively named himself “KarloFunk, which seemed to fit his style at the time. He started his DJ career in London and organized parties with various promoters there, also being signed up by names such as Perfected Music, Filth (Leeds) also involvements with Platform 12, Ministry of Sound and The White House.
When he went for a part in the high rise of house music he moved to London. Once there, it soon became obvious what a musically talented person he was. With his filthy beats, he regularly let legendary clubs in London such as The Cross and The Key also integrating them in newly opened super clubs over seas, all of which burst from their joints. The large audience got to know him not just as a DJ but as a TV presenter, appearing on Ministry of Sound TV interviewing top branded artists from the likes of Mason “perfect exceeder”, Kid Kenobi (Hook & Sling “The Bump”), Cicada, Dom from Stanton Warriors, Miles Dyson (Plasma pool Records), Mark Knight (Toolroom Records), Joseph Armani (Bay FM - Malta), DJ Ruby (Pure promotions - Malta), Fedde Le Grand “put your hands up for Detroit”. Presenting is one of his personal highlights that pushed him further into the depth of entertainment.
In addition to his big passion for music and not just to work with various TV shows he worked out a plan to document his own movements through out the music scene this is when Lostin media© was founded, born with pure energy and excitement for love of his music, progressing from documenting his own actions as a DJ to filming others and further more documenting other events around the world broadcasting footage for major TV channels. “I can use this opportunity to educate my self first hand in the ever changing scene in the land of music”.
Across the borders he didn’t stay unnoticed. Invitations were received from clubs and parties from France, Germany, England, Ibiza, Italy, Malta and Miami also the opposite sides of the globe - Australia. I have worked together with national and international artists like: Sasha “who Killed Sparky”, Judge Jules (Judgment Sundays – Ibiza), Mason “Perfect Exceeder”, Dave Pierce (Radio one), Micky Slim (Godskitchen), Dave spoon (Radio one), Mile Dyson “ Daddio” and many more will follow
