Millsy has been behind the decks for 10 years after starting his career promoting and playing at parties in the South Coast of England. Throughout the years he has rocked parties with residencies at Club Red, Tribal Underground and Maelstrom along with regular appearances on the famous outdoor rave circuit in Hastings and Brighton.

Most recently Millsy has returned from a tour of Brasil where he played at Brasilia’s largest clubs, Trend and Fashion along with several appearances at the popular nightspot, Concentração and numerous private parties. Whilst there he was invited to play a guest mix on radio Transamerica for the first dance music show of 2007. UK gigs this year so far have included main room sets at EGG, Hope & Electro and Freedom. Further gigs are lined up for later in the year for the UK, Sao Paulo and Brasilia.

Millsy currently hosts a weekly show on World Dance FM in London and listeners tuning in to the radio show can expect to hear a blend of music ranging from electro driven house and uplifting progressive to melodic trance and hard hitting breaks. “My main influences are Sasha, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren and Paul Oakenfold along with electronic bands such as Booka Shade and Hybrid”.

On the production side Millsy was granted overall “Best in Year” and a Distinction in Sound Engineering and Production from The London Music School. He is currently collaborating on several studio projects with DJ’s and Producers based across London with plans to release some of his tracks later in the year.

Constantly pushing the boundries of technology Millsy’s DJ set up includes Abelton Live, CD Decks and Keyboards alongside the traditional Technics 1210’s. “People have a misconception that working within a computer is in some way cheating, taking away the skill element of mixing. The truth is, with so many DJ’s out there capable of beat matching, programs like Live offer the chance to really push the boundries and add a whole new element of creativity”. Although advocating the advance of technology Millsy never loses sight of the real reason a DJ exists: “to rock the party and ensure the clubbers go home with smiles on their faces after getting that little bit more than they expected".
