Well, where do I start?......My name is Dan, AKA Plus Eight. The name was inspired from a Synergy CD player I bought years ago that I used to play all my Cd's on pitched at PLUS EIGHT of course (even including now albums!)

I'm 24, currently live and work in Birmingham and I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SO PASSIONATE about music, that it has ALWAYS ran my life!!

I like MOST genres of Dance Music! Especially Electro, Breaks, Techno, Dirty House, Deep House, Tech House, Funky House and Tribal House. Some of my favourite Record Labels have to be SUBLIMINAL, SONDOS, AZULI BLACK AND CR2!

Some of my favourite DJ's and Producers have to include Tom Neville, Eric Prydz, Jorge Jaramillo, Eric Morillo, Mylo, Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, Linus Loves, King Roc, Erol Alkan, Martin Solveig, Masters At Work, Bob Sinclar, Reza, AudioJack, Switch, Eddie Halliwell, Amber D, Lab 4 and Yoji Biomehanika to name a few.

I've been DJing for around 7 years, starting out on basic bedroom equipment. Nowadays, I'm always playing on my stantons but have recently got more into production and would quite like to focus on that as a hobby!!

In 2003, I achieved a degree in Interactive Multimedia Design at the University of Lincoln, Hull Campus, which basically means I design & build websites & CD ROMS but also do Graphic Design and Photography. I specialise in Macromedia Flash design as it offers fewer restrictions when it comes to the design and construction of a site like a static HTML site does.

I currently do a lot of freelance work in Web Design & Digital Photography and hope to form a business within the next couple of years. If you require any info etc, please drop me an Email at

I have previously done photography work for DJ's/Producers like Stonebridge (www.stoneyboy.com), Howard Donald, Definite Grooves, Jazzy M, Sandy Rivera, Danny Rampling, Hard Soul, Lab 4, Amber D, AudioJack (www.audiojackmusic.com), Full Intention and more.

During 2003 - 2005 I did voluntary work for a Club Night in Hull called Deja Vu at Welly (www.clubdejavu.net) - Most Photography used throughout the site is work of mine. I also designed, built and maintain the Definite Grooves website (www.dgrecords.com).

As well as doing the photography for various nights, DJ's and producers, I have also interviewed a fair few too. The names include: Stonebridge, Richard F, Amber D, Ian M, Pranksterz, Lady Bianca, Sandy Rivera and Seamus Haji.

I'm currently working on a number of projects within the Dance Industry that are keeping me more than busy right now! I will add these to the list once completed!
