About Me: Despite collecting vast amount of records in London and New York over the last 17 years, his career began in 2002 where Honza played at the Deptford's legendary Paradise Bar, His Wednesday slot consisted of the finest of Jazz-Funk, Rare Groove and left field lounge music. Incognito's 'everyday' was a big winner on the dance floor back then. He then held a three year residency at Bar Equal in Honor Oak www.barequal.co.uk playing the best in upfront electro, soulful and minimal house.
His eclectic taste in music with well over 5000 records has enabled him to spin straight house, disco, funk or soul sets in an around London. Dubbed by garage singer Oggie as 'the new Norman Jay', Honza likes to fuse many styles of music into his set.
Honza held a residency at Camberwell's student/postgrad friendly Funky Munky on Saturday's along side The Wook of the infamous Drum& Bass crew 'Differnt Drumz'. The night consisted of a fistful of funk, Studio one 7's, old sckool and new school house, broken beat and breakbeat, and a few indie tracks thrown. It was at this bar where Honza had the opportunity of spinning on the same line up as critically acclaimed broken beat producers Yam Who?
The night is always well recieved by a relaxed crowd and friendly atmosphere. He also has a Tuesday residency at the legendary jazz club 'Ronnie Scott's spinning neo soul and classic soul. The night has been frequented by many soul artists including M people, Nate James and Natalie Williams. Honza currently holds four residencies including Ronnie Scott's and The Brick House, Brick Lane with Oggie and his band, and also The Liqourice bar Lordship Lane and The Escape bar Herne Hill.
