I started mixing up tunes on the decks with my good friends Carlos(DJ SENSE) and Steve B(DJ BEATTY)they were
already into beat mixing back in 92 with the first of the hardcore tunes.
They introduced me to a set of KAM decks (belt drive, aaaaagh). We mixed all the time together.
Before long we needed better equipment so I saved and saved any finally bought myself a set of Technics and top mixer.
That was it, no holding back, We all progressed so quickly after the Technics arrived!
Usually I practised mixing untill I felt like my hands were dropping off,
then would sit back and either listen to the recordings or flick on Don FM on the wireless to hear all the latest tunes.
From then on it went from mixing in the bedroom to doing house parties for friends.
That went real well. Then that was it I got into pirate radio. Ive had slots on
• SEDUCTION FM, 2Hot FM , and www.Ineffectradio.com,
And also had a residensy with a drum and bass show on:
• STREAMING FM
Streaming fm was amazing as not only did it broadcast to hundreds of listeners in the surrounding areas,
it also was streamed live on the internet. So ravers could log on all over the world.
Inevitably and sadly after a while the stations had to close down for reasons that where out of the DJ's mixing hands
so it was off to the clubs.....
Seduction fms hardcore bash and UnderGround Explosion..
My favourite was The Matrix as i played alongside the likes of Dave Pearce and Carl Nicholson.
Carl was the main reason I got the set as he heard me at a house party and thought I would sound good in the clubs,
so he sorted it. So I have him to thank for Kick starting my DJing out in public.
Also Seductions fm's (Chris Velocity) party was amazing too, as there were more close friends there for alot of support which was very cool.
I was alot more relaxed at that venue. The promoter Thanked me for an amazing set aswell which completely made my night!
My other favourite was Underground explosion, Which I had two MC's whos lyrics both flowed over my set.
MC Magic and MC Sensi . Also for this night I was more involved with the sorting out of the venue
and promoting the night. Getting out on the streets and flyering was a different angle I experienced that night
from the whole DJing point of view.
I have played at Strategy, playing alongside Brisk, Kaos, Stormtrooper and many more top bods!
For that venue I was also involved in promoting the night... Putting up 6foot posters is hard work..lol.
I now realise how much time , money, and effort goes into organising any event, which is good as it gives me
that little boost to make sure the mixing I do is top quality and 110% crowd pleasing.

Subbassfm is now my future, having played alongside Slipmatt, Dougal , Darren Styles, topbuzz (courtesy of Mud club Big up stu.) only to mention a few Subbassfm is getting bigger and bigger by the day, now officialy sponsered by charge clothing. If you see a Subbassfm event going on please pop down and meet us , you will definalty have a night to remember.
