DJ Manx started learning how to mix way back in 2003, messing about with random tunes from the charts and dance CDs he had in his collection. Not taking DJing to heart what so ever! 2years past without a thought of doing or getting anywhere in the DJ seen, until his love for hard house/dance kicked in, listening to the likes of Lisa Lashes | Anne Savage | Tidy Boys | BK | Lisa Pin Up ect. he started to listen to albums that were mixed by these DJs and learn the basic skill that a DJ needs... Beat matching! Spending hours and hours of free time dedicating to learning this skill Manx gave up without success and left the Turntables sitting in the corner of his room just itching to be used. Another year went by and then in 2005 he found a love that changed his thoughts of music for life, He had found HARDSTYLE! With the uplifting riffs and bouncy baselines, Manx's style was now set into Italian Hardstyle Buying records online and from local record stores his small collection of tunes that meant everything to him started to grow, getting the hang of beat matching and a little bit of confidence he made his first demo.. Manxed Vol 1, after recording and posting links online he started getting feed back, all good and bad and he took every comment personally, it meant a lot to him that people were taking time to listen and comment on his style of mixing and tune selection. Taking everything on board a few months later Manxed Volume 2 came out and really kicked his confidence off with the amount of feedback given to him and also got him his first booking at a new local event called "IGNITION" Headlining this event b2b with DJ Kiwi, at only 17 years old his first ever set outside the bedroom set the boundary’s for the future. At the tender age of 18 after attending local Harddance events, Manx was checking out other DJ’s around the Swansea area in selected events such as Breathe, Romper Stomper & Nemesis. Watching different Djs with different styles of playing live to the crowd gave Manx a truly mind blowing feeling, Knowing most of the line up were fellow Up & Coming DJs like himself and the effort they put into entertaining the crowd for just one hour gave him more to aim at in his own DJ quest. While at these events even though his mind was set on Hardstyle and the Italian side of this style at the time, he heard a style of Hardstyle that blew his mind and got him sweating on the dance floor for which he plays with pride to this very day, the style was still Hardstyle… but now it was DUTCH! Italian Hardstyle was thrown straight to the back of his CD wallet (now that he owned the pioneer CDJ 1000's) and fresh new dutch Hardstyle was filling up thick and fast! Belting out tunes from this new style, his new and on going demos labeled "FULLFORCE" were born! With insane uplifting breakdown synths and crowd shattering baselines he knew this was the future for him. Bookings started coming in from events such as Vibesupply, Karnage, & Subzero in the south Wales area from the demos. After a short while he teamed up with Tantrum & formed the back to back name "Xcessivestyles" which still involved Dutch Hardstyle but also Dutch Hardcore! Playing sets solo & B2B he gained more experience of this underground sound and got close with event hosts and promoters. One of such.. Barbers (Subzero host) who noticed the potential of Manx and offered him a Bi-Monthly resident slot at subzero which kicks off January 2008! Full of ideas and influences he is now on form and ready for what the DJ world has to offer, also now producing and remixing tunes that can only be heard in his live sets in the club and not on any demos he has his mind set on what’s to come, Music is now his life. Manx is now ready... Ready & out at FULLFORCE!
