Love partying, and being involved aswell.... Professional DJ & Producer, been DJing since 1988 since I was 14. I've worked alongside big names, Ann savage, Judge Jules, Beamish just to mention a few. Check out www.richie-t.com for more info, but excuse the dated pics of me i will get round to updating the site!

MIXES - HARDER STATE OF BOUNCINESS TRANCY STATE OF BOUNCINESS (soz about the levels in the latter mix, damn auto-level limiter was left on!)

I recently built a nice 14,400 watt soundsystem, all fane acoustics and suitable for events upto 5,000 people. Its crisp, clear and extremely loud. click here for a pic of it.

Also got lights, large lasers the lot am well up for doing parties.

Any tech tips feel free to give me a shout, if it has volts travelling through it then i'm your man to fix it:)

if you send me a message on here and i dont reply, email me at djrichie_t@hotmail.com cos i dont always see my messages on here

For details on the sound & lighting rig, check out www.rentarave.co.uk

Also..... just a little note when booking soundsystems, have a read...

The soundsystem advertised on rentarave.co.uk is rated at a true 14,400 watts RMS - thats proper 14.4k.
This in effect, will beat your average 'so-called 30k' system.

Any genuine rig above 7,680 watts (7.68K) will not be able to run off your normal domestic mains supply.
You can only draw just over 3K off each 13 amp socket (thats 13 amps x 240 volts = 3,120 watts, or 3.12k). Any more and the 13 amp fuse will blow.
These 13 amp sockets are connected to a 32 amp circuit breaker so 32 x 240 = 7,680 watts, or 7.68k off all the sockets put together.

Be careful at people advertising "10k"etc. rigs very cheap = it might 'look and sound' like 10k but will actually be running about one fifth of it.
Its amazing at some events when you see '20k' rigs running off a little 3k generator... must be some form of magic!

For a proper 10k rig you will need more than a 32 amp industrial supply to run it.
No matter how many 13 amp plugs you have, on your average setup all the sockets will be connected to the same ring main,
and thats on a 32 amp circuit breaker. This means you will never push out more than 7.68k - even less if using lighting effects etc on the same circuit.

Event organisers and promoters are increasingly being ripped off when hiring out soundsystems as the real size of the soundsystem
is normally much less than advertised, as the average person would not realise the truth.

It is also worth remembering that volume is decibels, not watts. Our genuinely rated 14.4KW gives out a peak sound pressure level (SPL) of upto 146dB (at 1m)
and with a high system sensitivity of 104dB average, it is awesomely loud and crystal clear!

It's not necessarily named brands, but the technical specs of each component that give a good sound, and will allow a 2k rig to walk all over a 10k one!
