Hi, Im DJ Trixta, my friends know me as Matt. I have been into mixing for about 14 years now and will mash up anything that i can lay my hands on. I started to mix with my mate DJ Mixman when i bought myself a set of beltys, we have both learnt together and share similar tastes in music styles.
I am a resident DJ on the mighty Happynation, and have a 2 hour web radio show, every thursday night, 10-12pm. I have recently started to play for another station, underground Exhilaration, and play a regular set sunday night 10-12.

Aswell as loving my DJing I was part of a promotion team that organised a Regular Event held at Various Venues across london. Our events were held under the name of Happy Nation and we endeavoured to bring you some of the freshest sounds and Best talented DJ's that could be found around the country.

Unfortunately I cannot say that we have any new events up and coming as our promotions team has since disbanded and does not look like any new plans are on the horizon. I loved taking the time and effort to promote HN but unfortunately, nowadays my time is better spent elsewhere.
I have used my newly found spare time to promote myself and concentrate on my second biggest love in music, that being production. I have a few tracks that I have produced alone and a few produced with my partner in sounds, The DJ Prism! (biggups m8).

Our first oldskool production is entitled "Still Dreaming" and is available apon request for private use only.

My recent solo produced hardcore track is entitled "hole in space", and once again is available to all who want it, but it is for private usage only.

My own personal musical tastes are geared towards the Hard dance scene and I play mostly Upfront Hardcore and Oldskool Hardcore. I have a vast and varied collection of vinyl as this is my preferred musical format.

I can use and mix using CD's just as well as I can mix using a pair of 1210's but i feel that sometimes a lot of the art of mixing is taken away when using CD's. Of course you can do some wicked stuff with a decent pair of pioneer CDJ1000's, and that is an art in itself but at the end of the day, the real art of DJ'ing is How u put your tracks down and how you present them when all youve got is a pair of turntables and a mixer, sound effects cant help you in that situation.



I will never tie myself down to a particular style of dance music and like to mix just about anything thats got a beat to it, although if i had to choose, I prefer to mix Hardcore old an new, all day long!
