AKA Don69 kicked off his music career in South Africa in 1994 and after immigrating to London in ’98 he proved his talent playing regular sets at popular London underground Warehouse parties and nightclub gigs, paving the way to play at some of the worlds most popular clubs and parties.
While the London Djing and clubbing circuit was already saturated with a mass pool of DJs, Don focused on a unique style of dance production blending and filtering classic disco and Latino beats with the up most in jacking dirty funky sexy house grooves which has enabled him to play on some of the most popular stages on the planet.
To date Don’s energetic eclectic sets have seen him play alongside international big names such as house legends Roger Sanchez, Dj Steve Lawler, Aarmand Vanhelden, Graham Gold, Dj Fergie (BBC Radio One), Phil Reynolds, Ian Betts, Marc French, Spencer Freeland, Andy Farley among others on a global scale. He has also performed alongside legendary band The Gypsy Kings in Geneva in 2006 at the Chateau D Allaman and has also been involved in playing major charity events for The Princes Trust in London.
Late 2004, Don together with partners Floody, Ian Morgan and Smith & Wessen (aka Eamonn Fevah) started up a fresh new angle for partying on the London clubbing circuit – DirtyFunkySexy
DFS has established itself as one of the leading upfront house nights in London and is now recognized as an international clubbing House Brand, hosting in countries including Australia and New Zealand, as well as having hosted massive events in Ibiza, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Malta, Poland , Thailand and Switzerland.
