Hi my names Paul Dray and i developed the concept funk'd electronika back in mid march06 it came about when i started to really sit back and take a hard look at the sort of music ive been playing and the journey my sets have been reaching, ive always been a trance dj back to the roots of the 1999 golden days but music styles have became a lot more diverse of recent times and making it hard to be pidgeon holed into 1 style, my sets have seen me reach out to elements of house,prog,electro,tech,trance whateva it takes to express myself in a musical journey im happy with. I wanted a name that i could relate my style to just like there are genres like funky house. tech, trance, hard house, electro but it was more of a personal expression and a name that would alowe me space a room to breath/develope & evolve as a dj, it was with this all in my that funk'd electronika was born. I made a 5disc mix comp to celebrate my arrival but with the idea in mind to take this concept further still i wanted to get it recognised and get my own funk'd electronika nites running. This is were it all started thanks to my loyal management team TONY SCOGGINS, JIM SILVERSLED & SIMON LORD Who without these guys funk'd electronika wouldnt be what it is today and certainly what its going to become!! so big shout out to these guys and full respect its people like that, that make music what it is today.
Also a special thanks to all who have supported us getting started Entity girls, motion music and many other freinds along the way.
And please put this date in your diary 0CTOBER 5TH 2006 Funk'd electronika 'A NEW BEGINNING' This is the official re-launch for what will be hopefully a successful future.
