Faydz is one of the most sought after DJ's in the Rave scene and known worldwide for his unique mixing & scratching techniques, exclusive bootlegs & mash-ups he throws into his energetic sets and for being one of the most versatile DJ's on the circuit!
He's booked regularly by many of the major promoters in the country, to perform at some of the most prestigious venues across the UK and Europe. His rise through the ranks has been based purely on his turntable skills, which is extremely rare in todays scene and a testament to his talent, as most only break through to perform for massive brands like Slammin' Vinyl and Hardcore Til I Die from having successful tracks or record labels. Because of his wealth of experience (over 18 years in the game!) and extensive musical knowledge, Faydz is in demand, week in, week out, playing a variety of genres including Drum & Bass, House, Old Skool Rave and Breaks.
A DJ with a fantastic ability to read a crowd and know exactly what they want, which only comes from years of experience. From illegal raves in muddy fields and derelict warehouses to todays Superclubs and major events with multi-capacity arenas, Faydz has played them all. - PLAYING THE OPENING SET IN THE COLOSSAL 5000 CAPACITY MAIN ARENA AT THE WEST OF ENGLAND'S LARGEST DANCE MUSIC EVENT - WESTFEST, AT THE ROYAL BATH & WEST SHOWGROUND, SHEPTON MALLET IN OCTOBER 2007. FAYDZ JOINED THE ELITE FEW THAT HAVE PERFORMED ON THIS STAGE WHICH INCLUDE PENDULUM, DARREN STYLES AND ANDY C.
- PERFORMING AT THE WORLDS BIGGEST HARDCORE SUMMER VACATION - HTID IN THE SUN, IN LLORET DE MAR, SPAIN, EVERY YEAR SINCE IT STARTED IN 2007 AND PLAYING PEAK TIME, UPFRONT HARDCORE SETS ALONGSIDE DJ TWISTA WITH MC'S WHIZZKID & STORM, TWO YEARS RUNNING.
- PERFORMING AT THE UK'S BIGGEST NEW YEARS EVE DANCE EVENT, SLAMMIN' VINYL'S NYE-NEC, HELD AT THE NATIONAL EXHIBITION CENTRE, BIRMINGHAM IN 2007 AND 2008.
- BEING ASKED BY THE LEGENDARY DJ SLIPMATT TO DO A GUEST MIX FOR HIS 'CAN YOU FEEL IT' SHOW ON MINISTRY OF SOUND RADIO IN NOVEMBER 2008.

A brief history...
Way back in the 1980's, Faydz was a massive Hip-Hop fan. His favourite artists included RUN DMC, The Beastie Boys, Public Enemy and N.W.A. but it was one day in 1989 when he listened to his friends Rave mix tape at school, that Faydz was hooked on this exciting new sound. He had no ambition to be a DJ at the time (only a professional footballer!) but after hearing leading DJ's Ratty, Sy and Hype use their old Hip-Hop turntable skills to scratch and cut up this new Rave music, he was totally inspired and began collecting vinyl and practising on the Technics 1210's in his local record shop 'Homeboyz' in Swindon, Wiltshire, going by the name DJ Dark Fader (Later changed to Fades in 1995 then Faydz in 2000). In 1992, Faydz attended Fantazia - One Step Beyond at Castle Donnington which at the time, was the worlds largest rave! After watching his favourite DJ's perform in front of over 25,000 ravers, Faydz knew from that day forward, exactly what he wanted to do...
Faydz has gone on to perform for some of the biggest promoters in the dance music industry including -

He's promoted his own nights XpressionZ and Rejuven8 and hosted Old Skool/Drum & Bass arenas at Hardcore events The Fruit Club and Uproar at the Brunel Rooms in Swindon. From 2001 - 2006, Faydz provided the cuts and scratches for Bristol based Hip-Hop band Zark 7 at venues through out the South West. He's worked in Radio, hosting shows on various legal and illegal stations, produces his own dance music and has given mixing/scratching tutorials and advice to the up and coming DJ talent in schools and youth groups.
