The story so far:
As a youngster I always loved music, but never really had any desire to become a DJ. I was always more interested in dancing to the music than playing it. However, I was exposed to loads of various styles growing up; from my parent's reggae and ska, to my sister's 80’s soul and lovers rock to my brother's Helter Skelter tapes.

I started playing music at about 6 years old, first on the recorder and then moved onto the flute, saxophone and clarinet. I got into DJing fairly late at the age of 18 when I was university, originally playing RnB, soul, funk & disco. I eventually found my true calling in house music, although I still have some love reserved for soul, funk & disco though! (",)

Having a deep appreciation of music across the whole genre spectrum, I spent a few years developing my DJ style at house parties and small bars before finally hitting on a winning combination.

I started Chocolate Groove Promotions in 2005 with the launch of my first night Sugar & Spice. The music policy is soulful, funky, US, deep, chunky, uplifting, vocal, latin house. The night was created with one purpose in mind, to establish a great night out for sexy stylish people, by bringing together the best underground DJ talent in exciting venues with a great party atmosphere, something we have succeeded in doing. The following month I launched my second night, CandiSoul; a night created as an alternative to all the house nights currently on the scene.CandiSoul is all about music from back in the day, playing the best old soul, funk, rare groove, disco, motown and reggae around.

2006 was a big year as it saw me have my DJ debut in Ibiza - taking Sugar & Spice to Es Paradis, no less! With Sugar & Spice celebrating it's 1st Birthday in October, me finally getting into the studio to record my EP, as well as playing out loads for fellow promoters, the future looks mighty bright (although not necessarily orange!!).
