Helikaon (he-le-cay-on) is a 22 years old Psy Trance and Freeform DJ/Producer living in Southampton, UK. Also known as DJ Loz, he has appeared on the flyers of some of the biggest nights on the South coast such as Electrik, Rampant and Depth Charge.

2008 saw Helikaon enter the world of producing. His first track (Exploder) was produced with good friend Sean Duncan (Erik de Grijze/Slippery Disco). It was engineered by Alex McDougall (Ephexis) at Ephexis studios in Southampton. Nu Energy Collective owner Kevin Energy quickly showed a keen interest in the track and it was signed to his long running and successful label Nu Energy Recordings.

When writing music Helikaon draws influence from well respected Hardcore producers such as Darwin, Kevin Energy, Lost Soul and Alek Szahala and Oli G and is inspired by the likes of Cube:Hard and Ephexis.

Helikaon’s future plans include regular visits to Ephexis studios to continue to produce fresh and diverse material. He has also just started to build his own home studio and has just embarked on a Music Studio Technology degree.
