HOW DO????



I'm Kane, from Leigh, about 15 miles out of Manchester

I bum trance big time!!!

I like pretty much all trance from progressive through to hard trance although i'm really into my tech-trance at the moment, the filthier, the better. Occasionally i'll get an urge for something harder which extends my musical tastes through to hardcore, hardstyle and gabber!

You'll see me out and about generally at monthly nights in Manchester, Leeds & Sheffield and then anything else inbetween.

My best event this year so far was Trance Energy. Everything about it from the organisation to the lighting & sound to the crowd was amazing! With Nature One quickly approaching my views could change.......watch this space!

My favourite DJ by far and away is Paul van Dyk. People can criticise him all they want but he consistently delivers the goods and his mixing ability is probably the best i've ever seen. As for his live edits, they speak for themselves!

I was trying the think of the best set i have ever seen but the top 2 were so close i couldn't mention just one of them:

1) Paul van Dyk's 3 hour set at GCSSS 08 was just magic from start to finish, as soon as he dropped the first tune (Andre Visior & Kay Stone - Something For Your Mind [Giuseppe Ottaviani Remix]) i just knew i was in for something spectacular. The entire crowd were absolutely loving it and i've never known 3 hours to go as quickly in all my life.

2) Armin van Buuren's 4 hour set at 'Crasher in Nottingham May 08 was a prime example of how to play the full spectrum of trance in the same set. He started off with some more minimal and progressive stuff, moving onto his trademark hands-in-the-air stuff then finished with an hour and a half of the most dancefloor destroying tech-trance. The venue itself was one of the worst i've been to for a club night and it just wasn't a trance-savvy crowd. Maybe Armin thought he had to pull out all the stops. Did he do it?.........Of course he fucking did!!!!

Just invested in my first SLR as a budding spotter! Still getting used to it all but it's fun so far!
