Mr J Cutter has been involved in the Drum and Bass scene since early 2000. His interest in DnB started many years before when he would pick up tunes from a record store just outside his college.
From here he took a great intrest in the sights, sounds and events that gripped the scene.

He was a regular raver from the start at such events as Dekafex & Movement at Brixton Mass. When these events moved on from south London Mr J Cutter decided to turn his hand to promoting.

He brought a series of mixed events to a local South London Uni, Goldsmiths in there student union bar.
This is where he began to become affiliated with such artists as Nicky Blackmarket, Bad Company & Friction to name a few.
From here Mr J Cutter was a regualar visitor to The End, Fabric Live for such nights as Renegade hardware, Ram Records, Clash of the Titans, One Nation and most DnB events around.

Picking up insperation from all these events and there artists Mr J Cutter turned his hand to the turntables in 2002.

In 2003 Mr J Cutter Teamed up with Local Newcomer Mekar MC to start a partnership that would last throughout and take to the scene in style. The Pair started playing on varias internet stations and doing guest apareances on other FM radios including A friday night on the legendary Kool FM 94.6fm.

Since then Mr J Cutter has been keeping up apperances throughout the UK along side all his affiliations, alot of the time recieving joint bookings alongside his MC, Mekar.
Over the years the pair Mr J Cutter & Mekar had been involved in running different events and in 2005 they decided to join forces to start an event called Student Welfare, in a south london bar called the GMT (goldsmiths tavern) bring drum and bass to the student world at goldsmiths uni.

As they say, the rest is History!. in 2008, MR J Cutter is here with a positive outlook for the London DnB scene, Looking to Network with the best and help the scene progress.

Now the team are bring to you a Series of events through the Student Welfare Events Company.
