Been a raver for as long as I can remember. Then a few years started to learn to mix myself and have recently upgraded to a set of Technics.

DJ PROFILE :

DJMX (or just MX or Malcs) is an up and coming DJ, co-owner of KRISISDnB.COM internet Drum and Bass Radio station, and event promoter on the South Coast.

Primarily a jump-up DnB DJ but enjoys playing some darker rolling basslines with influences like Noisia, Teebee and many more. Adding to the versatility, MX also plays Breaks when the mood suits him, and has the intention of extending this further into the Bassline Garage scene as well.

MX has been mixing for around 4 years after being pulled on the decks by his mates Joe and Lee. From then on he has been hooked. Starting out on Lee's belt drive decks, it wasnt long before he bought his first set of direct drives. They were nothing special and were a bargain from Ebay, but it was the stepping stone to where he is today. Within 6 months he had a slot on Aspire Radio and met up with DJ NeO. They both moved on to have a slot on Shed bass radio before deciding together that they were being held back from making the sort of progress that they wanted. NeO and MX had so many ideas that they wanted to build on, but it simply wasnt possible on someone elses station, so they launched WWW.KRISISDnB.COM on the 21st March 2007.

A mere 6 months after launching KRISISDnB, the station was rewarded with a feature in the biggest Drum and Bass magazine in the world (Knowledge Magazine). This was a fitting tribute to the hard work everyone involved in the station had put in.

Since joining forces with DJ NeO together they have built up a huge following of supporters and good friends that have been there every step of the way since they started out on this epic journey.

The KRISIS brand has extended to be an event promoter on the South Coast of the UK, multiple magazine features, and with DJs, MCs and supporters from around the globe. Every month that goes by sees the support extending even further.

MX (and KRISISDnB) has the support from multiple record labels around the world including Crooked Beatz, Dirty Needle Recordings, Second City Records, Wild West Recordings, Useless Plastix, Nightwalker Recordings, Motion Sensor Records, G-13, Flight Recordings, Yaak Records, Rollin Soundz Records, Class A Recordings, Subfusion Records, Promo Audio Recordings and more. MX also has links with major artists such as Highroller, Dub Alley, Sensa, Rowney, Jayline, Twin Audio (Alter Ego), Propa G, Messy, Dangerous, Butcher, Redeye, Logan D, Analoge, Spooka, Phetsta, ShockOne, Killswitch, Breakneck to name the main ones. Every month that passes sees this list extend further.

MX has been on the decks at multiple events in Southampton as well as at places including Upstairz in Northallerton (Yorkshire), Future Sound Xmas 2007 christmas special in Southend Essex, Bassline in Bath, Club2XS in Bournemouth, Tabu Club in Yeovil, Funktion in Portsmouth, Venus Bar in Portsmouth. The 4th October 2008 will make MX and international DJ as he plays at KRISIS vs Chaos Labz at Club EX2 in Oldenburg Germany.
