My first musical experience was the "Barbie Disco" that I created in my living room age 7! Then came Herbie Hancocks "Rockit" and I was never the same again! Started raving in 1991, lived in Hackney and hooked up with Spiral Tribe and Bedlam parties. Castle Morton was the last illegal rave I went to...then came the Criminal Justice Bill, repetitive beats became illegal - booooooooooooooooo!Didn't go to any clubs for a few years after that, seemed totally weird to have to pay and dress in a certain way to be allowed these pleasures! Then got into the Psychedelic trance (Return to the Source/Antiworld) scene and found it was quite nice to have a clean toilet to use in the clubs! Fridge, 414, Rex, Brixton Academy, these were my first clubbing venues. After this I got into a more generic house scene and first went to Bar Rumba for the Garage City night where I heard DJ Disciple and was totally blown away! Next stop; Ministry of Sound, Soul Heaven! ! So it came to pass that I heard Louie Vega (my hero!) and the whole thing was amazing!Now I regularly go to see Louie, Kenny Dope, Todd Terry; also love David Morales, Quentin Harris, DJ Gregory...........
Music is the only way for us to access the sublime...it's all we have...play on!
