As you can see fae the pics, I now have a tradition of taking Twisty Tail, the MLP at my waist, to every rave I attend, which has been two so far this year, took long enough to get back on the scene after things went pear-shaped for both me & techno awww!!!! I have loved rave since I found out what to do with Technotronic's Pump Up The Jam, ya dance to it of course, but I was still at school then, fortunately my sixth year more than made up for the fact I was still to hit 18, as trax like DJPC's Insomniak, LA Style's James Brown Is Dead & so on were played alongside Prodigy & Altern8 classics. Then I tried the student life in Aberdeen, most of my clubbing was done at the Union, I found no techno whatsoever, but did find a lot of house, most of it is rather boring for me now, especially at the sort of places you only go to get drunk or get a trap, I mean come ON!!! What happened to just going to enjoy the music!!! I soon found out when a car playing what I'd called up til then "car stereo music" pulled up beside me, & its driver introduced me to the love of my life: HARDCORE TECHNO!!!!!!!!!!! In 1995 I was a Skanker, a regular at Trauma, & also went to the Ignitions, as well as the first time the Uni bothered to put on raves!!!!! Got my fringe fluffed courtesy of that night... After that I found a bloke who wasn't into that scen which is a shame, but I kept looking for Aberdeen rave dos, found a couple in 1996, at the one in April I was even given a shot of the lights!!!! The one in June still makes me cringe, as it was in the middle of a huge crush I used to have on Technotrance AAAAAAAAARRGGHH!!!!! Then I found this great night in Stonehaven called Fusion, & started going like mad, ditched the wastrel ex, ended the crush, met my best mate Philip, met (officially) my best-known friend Guy! (Bassy G AAAAAAAAAARRGGHH!!!), & ended the year wi the Awakening of 1997 Rez. More Fusions, plus odd bits at the Peli, made up the former half of 1997, along wi a trip to the Fubar in March, then my life started getting messy, legally, then financially (my last 1997 rave was 27/6 Fusion), then in September to October I was back to square 1, living in the middle of nowhere wi my parents again. The only rave I managed after that was JDI 11/4/1998, just the day after my 24th birthday!!! I got a place in Portsoy after that, but found no raves as M8 decided to go housey on us, I was stuck wi the local pubs & the odd folk night, or commercial dance night for anything to do, yep, you go to get drunk or get a trap. But thanks to the Internet I'm back, just looking for a party, either oldschool or newschool, don't care, just gimme a banging beat fae hard house upwards...
