Ola!

As a BOA Group Moderator I guess this page should tell you all a little about myself, the group and what this is all about....

I started off as a BOA regular, meeting up with the guys who formed the group every weekend, getting to know some wicked people and just enjoying the start of something very special. Soon we discovered we had some real talent amongst us, and more importantly shared the same passion for house music. As tastes and styles developed and evolved, it was evident we not only had some amazing DJs amongst us, but the drive and skills between us to push us outside of bedrooms, house parties and local venues!

BOA itself has been going since early '06. What started out to be an online group where people local to the Reading area could find out about good nights out and meet up at weekends, is now much much more. We've gone through more in the last 3 years than most go through in a lifetime!



We also know how to party hard and do it very very well. BOA consists of DJ's, promoters, club staff, and people who all share the same passion for the party and the music. Due to years of dedication and hard graft, their commitment has enabled them the opportunities to DJ and put on nights literally all over the world!! We've played at Pacha, Heaven, the Egg, MoS, Turnmills, The Loft, Honey Club - Ibiza, Prague, Czech Republic, Germany, Majorca, Greece, Thailand... - too much to mention.....Highlights of last year have to be the festivals - GG and SW4 and also BOA in Beefa!!



We're also getting quite good at fluke meetings with our DJ heros. Such "incidents" include none other than the Godfather of techno Mr Vath giving his ring to one of our gang at one crazy night at Matter.....And not forgetting den-making with a certain famous DJ....

PS - UPDATE!!! Boxing Day 2008 I launched my own night (finally!) at Bar Mango in Reading!! Nearly a year on Lunar (Lunar Cosmonauts / facebook.com is still going strong with myself and the lovely Ms Sam Red putting on our next event November 13th.
