Matty's extensive career in music was unknowingly born in his early days at school when his fascination for playing the rhythm guitar and drums progressed into becoming part of a band. After many much anticipated weekly practice sessions and as many guitar strings Matty finally made the transitional step from being a music lover into a musician and being included in many musical and stage productions.

Matty's taste in music matured as he found his love for electronic music and the break dance scene, finding himself being a regular in record shops looking out for the newest pioneering tracks such as rocket/white lines, the iconic sounds of the electro/hip hop era.

When the birth of acid house hit our shores in 87/88 Matty found himself attending the notorious and revolutionary M25 outdoor parties such as BIOLOGY /PANARAMA / SPECTRUM / WEEKEND WORLD & many more. Fascinated & hooked by the energy of the whole scene, Matty went out and brought a set of decks. He could now mix up all the vinyl he'd collected over the years and loved every minute of it, which developed into playing out in pubs & outdoor underground parties.

In 1992 Matty got his first ever set playing professionally in a London club. His first night ignited the career path that has taken him to some of the finest clubs in the UK, Spain/Greece and as far as Thailand along with a 7 year residency for the MASSIVE SMARTIE PARTIE @ Turnmills in London.

In addition to Matty's Djing, he has spent numerous sessions in the studio recording his own sound and producing tracks for exclusive DJ use in his sets, using the latest digital audio software. His first track SIDEWAYS is signed to SP RECORDINGS
This summer you can see him play the world famous BORA BORA beach bar and SPACE TERRACE in IBIZA (the holy grail for a DJ) along with some of the worlds finest DJ's.

Matty's music style is uniquely varied and can fit most venues & crowds but his main passion is TECH/TRIBAL/FUNKY and BIG ROOM THUMPERS. Matty also plays old skool 88/89/90 sets, as this is one of his favourite eras in his musical journey as a DJ.

Essentially, music is Matty's life! He is dedicated to pushing new boundaries and taking on new challenges to his ever-expanding career, with his love for music being the whole source of motivation!! Although Matty is happy with current employment by one of the worlds biggest promoters, he is always keeping his options open for other organisations to work with and inject his many years of experience into.
