Since starting out 5 years ago, MC Friction (Real Name Phil Evans) has become one of the brightest new talents to appear on the hardcore scene of recent times. Playing at some of the biggest events around at the moment, over the last few years, and working hard to make a name for himself on the Hardcore music circuit at events up and down the country.

It all started when a friend of his, Dj Kambel , was resident at Vibealite and got a booking at the Old Corn Mill in Huddersfield. He just picked up the mic because there were only a few people in the main room at this time and decided to try and get them going, and from this he got quite a good reaction and a lot of positive feedback. After that he did basically any set Kambel got at Vibealite including the start of his set at the first massive Summer Sensation event held at Fantasy Island. Along with this he also started doing little party's which he attended, just picking up the mic and giving it a go, with alot of people who were there and also his mates telling him he was quite good.

Since that time he has travelled countless miles all over the country to entertain crowds at some of the best party’s in the UK in recent times, such as HTID, Uproar, Hardcore Heaven, Vibealite, and alot more. He has developed a style unique to himself, and is now known to have what some say is the most striking voice on the circuit right now.

Friction is also co-owner of Trackmaster Music one of 2008's newest hardcore record labels. Along with Dj's Cruze & Breaks.
