A bit about Milkshakes09

Hai my name's Milkshakes :)
My first rave was Mary Xmas ’06.
It was exciting!
Raves are one of the few days out of the week I can fully express myself in bright colors, plastic adornments, and plushies. My emotion is happy, upbeat, and ecstatic. I like to meet new people, maybe make some friends, and even get closer to my old friends.

I like knowing, or at least having the feeling, that I’m not being judged. That I can walk up to just about anybody I want and strike up a conversation with them and feel comfortable.


I enjoy electronic music. :D

Industrial is actually what got me started down the path of electronic. I’m a huge Skinny Puppy fan; it was the group that started it all for me. I actually got to see them during their Mythmaker tour ’07.

I’m a lover of house and all things house. Give it to me dirty, Progressive, Chicago, Electro, Fidget, French, Minimal, Bassline. You got house? Chances are I’ll love it.

Aside from my love of house I have an undenying love for Chiptunes, 8bit, Nintendcore, and Gameboy Music.

I’m a fan of Hardcore: Breakcore, Gabber, Jumpstyle, HHC, Speedcore, Hardstyle, and the like, but to tell you the truth I’m getting sick of the majority of the music being spun at raves been Hardcore. D:

And then of course there’s Trance. It’s classic, I mean who doesn’t enjoy a bit of trance here and there? Ambient, Hard, Progressive, Psychedelic, Goa, ya know :)

I’m also a fan of Nu skool breaks, Progressive breaks, Speed Garage, and Nu Rave. n_n



That was just a bit of background on my music knowledge so you don’t think I’m some drugged up kid looking for her kicks. It’s not about the drugs, and I learned that a long time ago.
I'm not going to deny it though; it's a pick your poison world
To tell you a little secret I actually enjoy being sober at raves. I like being able to remember the DJ’s I went to go see play or being able to recall the enjoyment I felt when that certain DJ mixed a favorite song into their set that night.

I guess a lot of people would consider me a kandi kid, and I used to feel it a lot.
I guess I’ve just become jaded as of recent.
