MIND DETERGENT IN THE MIX

I am an artist, dj, producer, and promoter in the Phoenix area. I’ve been producing my own tracks off and on for several years now, although I just recently began creating new projects after a lengthy time off in which I sharpened my dj skills. I’ve been addicted to music since birth…began playing piano at a very early age, moved on to playing the trumpet (classical and jazz mostly), I then picked up the guitar which I played extensively (attending regular sessions with an instructor who pushed the envelope of knowledge and understanding of music in ways that, ultimately, changed my life), and then around age 16 (just a few years after becoming completely addicted to electronic dance music) I was introduced to a couple of computer programs that were designed for music sampling, multi-track recording, production and editing…..I decided then to gain an overall understanding of E.D.M. song structure, production methods/techniques, and how it is all fluidly segued into a seamless, progressing mix.

That same year I was also introduced to the world of djing when a close friend picked up a pair of turntables and began mixing. I put production aside realizing that in order for my projects to be successful I would need to not only have a full understanding of E.D.M. but also experience as well, if my productions were to ever measure up to my own high standards, much less those of the public with whom I wish to share my love of music. Then around age 18 I got my first set of decks, and a decent mixer and began collecting and mixing records. I didn’t fully realize, at the time, that I was beginning a journey that would shape my life in unexpected ways. Now after some 10 years of experience mixing various E.D.M. genres and continuing to fine-tune my skills, I have returned to the wonderful world of music production. And although much has changed like the methods/tools/programs/devices used in the process (all of which have evolved tremendously), I find myself more determined than ever to keep pushing the limits of not only what I can create and play but also the limits of sound in general.

I can usually be found lost in my headphones enjoying, creating, sorting or mixing dope beats. I also enjoy drawing while blasting my favorite tunes...and depending on my mood, and what I’m listening to, can channel all of my creativity into some pretty cool designs and pieces. I thoroughly enjoy creating designs for potential future tattoos for myself (and others, upon request) as well as other images for side projects (mostly related to applications in which vector art is used....custom stickers/clothing/etc). All in all I’m extremely laid back and am open to all types of different experiences in life. My basic attitude is that I treat others the way I wish to be treated, live life to its fullest in a way that reflects the true nature of unconditional love for all, and ultimately I am most content when myself and those around me are all comfortable and having a good time. I aim to please in all aspects of my life and continuously strive for and demand excellence. I love to learn and expand my mind as much as possible and am a firm believer in the power of the mind to create and destroy any and all aspects of subjective reality….and as such I am also thoroughly fascinated with creating opportunities and experiences which have the ability to enable myself and others to liberate and expand their consciousness beyond the socially constructed cage in which most people are spiritually/mentally trapped ….hence the name MIND DETERGENT. My intention is simply to use my creative skills and knowledge in music, art, psychedelic culture, consciousness alteration & expansion, spirituality(not to be confused with religion or any particular deity), multi-dimensional perception and existence, the mystical and the supernatural to create a powerful, playfully enigmatic, thought-provoking audio,visual, & spiritual experience that, much like the human soul, will continue to evolve and adapt to continue pushing the boundaries of experience while i show what it's like to ride the infinite waves of KAOS in and out of the aetheric planes to a destination of pure majick.

Now being the fun-loving, people person that I am I always love to make the acquaintance of like-minded individuals, engage in thought provoking philosophical and spiritual conversations, and take part in many different hobbies/activities that take place both indoors and outdoors. I love going off the grid to explore all of natures beauty and to relax, and I also enjoy doing things that involve exploring the urban jungle. In a nut shell……I LOVE LIFE!!!! I pride myself on not being fake and as well as being true (to myself and others). Life is full of possibilities, challenges, triumphs, and personal evolution….I strive to keep negativity out of my life so that I can focus on enjoying this short, but unique and interesting life. One last thing I’d like to say is this : FUCK FAKE FRIENDS!!! FX3…..don’t waste your time on fake friends and haters…they will only delay your own evolution and enjoyment of life. Peace.
