d.j., producer and remixer for over 20 years now I started my music career at the age of 12 when I got my first set of decks, I was playing hip hop and early acid house at the time which was the big thing. It was here that I started to pioneer my scratch and double mixing which would later become one of my trademarks in the house scene. From when I first started djing in 88, I have played a variety of styles and in the early part of the nineties I heavily got into the rave/hardcore scene, But sadly I was still two young to get into the clubs/raves at the time so I was restricted to listen to pirate radio and tapes but I managed to begin to edge my way in around 93 and that was it I was even more hooked. When the rave scene split at the end of 94/95 it was all beginning to get a bit to heavy for me, So I turned my head more to the house sound and began to start getting gigs at my local clubs in and around Essex such as club funky were I had the good fortune to play along side the likes of the late great Tony de vit. But it wasn’t till 2000 that things’ really started picking up I was taken on board with a dj agency called devine and was play regularly at places such as the hippodrome and zeus in Chelmsford. My first release (diva) came out in 2003. This went off with a big bang with airplays on vibe fm and was being caned by the likes of Tom stephen (superchumbo), Sarah g , and Steve lawler This also sparked my first visit to the sunny white isle of Ibiza were the track was greatly received and i made a lot of good friends, Whist out there i also got the opportunity to play at eden and plastic. When i came back i got straight in the studio with eddie m as we had loads of ideas for new tracks and thus my second release (the orgy) was born. This also sparked my second trip to Ibiza later on in the session were this track fitted in with the style that was big at the time of tribal house. And was also very well received. Since coming back from Ibiza i had secured a monthly residence in bury st edmunds and have been playing out in places such as po na na in Norwich and metropolis in st pauls (London). Early 2004 saw my 3rd release again in conjuction with eddie m this was a four track e.p on orange vinyl and covered all types of house from peaktime floor filler to chilled out bar culture. The e.p went down very well on many platforms and was receiving a lot of airplay on Ibiza radio as well as the clubs. So i then set of to the sunny isle once more to promote the tracks even more. When i got back from Ibiza myself and eddie m thought it only right to arrange a lunch party for the e.p over here and were better to stage this then the most well known club in England The ministry of sound. So on the 11th Sep 04 we took over one of the rooms and had a full on launch party, The night was a roaring success and since then i have played the ministry a number of times times and have also been running events inconjuction with smartie partie at turnmills and have been playing at the cross for pukka up and hidden for plush dafunk. now i am heavly into my breaks and currently run two nights in harlow (essex) one promoting the breaks (BACK 2 THA BREAKS) and the other devoted to real club classics (BACK 2 THA CLASSICS) i have also recently done remixes for such artists as slipmatt, uk syko, damage inc and new up and coming artist charlie which is set to be big, with more mixes and night in the pipe line such as the all new SECRET SOCIETY there is plenty to be watching out for in 2008...
