DJ Rob Peatman
About Me
Rob has only been listening to house music in general since late 2006 when his mates took him to the Emporium, to the opening night of Speekafreeka. This was his first experience in a big club and with this genre of music, after that night he was converted to house music. Since then he had been listening to the tunes and mixes of some of the biggest names in dance, as well as some of the local lads he met when he was there. Making a friendship with the lads from Organic Promotions and becoming interested in DJing he decided in 2007 that he would blow what money he had saved to go to Ibiza with, on some CDJs. Rob taught himself to DJ and only had a couple of lessons from the Organic DJ, Paul Dawson he mastered the basic skills of mixing.
Rob has been involved around the Leicester House scene since, getting to know the DJs and producers. He has done some promotional work for local nights Big Love and Loving Life. In early 2008 he received some amazing news, in a chat with Paul Dawson and Owyn Sidwell (Organic) he was asked to do some promotional work and become part of Organic Promotions. This kick started his DJing career and focused his drive on becoming “club” standard ready to play for Organic as their resident. In preparation to playing as Organic resident, Rob DJed at Havana for Faith, and at ISU for Loving Life. Playing for these local nights has made the enthusiastic young lad ready to play for one of the best club nights in the midlands. During this time, Rob claimed another residency for Faith @ Havana. This has helped him perfect his skills and to incorporate 3 deck wizardry into his sets. 2008 has already seen Rob played alongside likes of Sonny Wharton, the Bodyrox and Kate Lawler as well as alot of local talent. With bookings already at a variety of local establishments in Leicester and Loughborough, and the Ibiza season looming, 2009 plans to be a massive year for Rob!
