THE MIGHTY PUNCHFUNK IS TAKING OVER

Hello to all, a little bit about myself - Firstly I feel that now we're at a stage where we're reading each others profiles, its time for some honesty... Basically until recent times I led a very disaplined life due to my old career path and I must confess that I was once one of those idiots that got far to drunk, aggressive and generally ruined the odd persons night out for no other reason (looking back) than I was a penis... What I want to tell you is a fairytale come true in a modern day "Jack The Beanstalk story"

One sunny afternoon during a holiday with "my boys" to a far away land known as Ibiza, I was laying back in the sunshine enjoying my cold beer when suddenly, Vinnie - the meanest one of us all said "Pete, we're out of beer, here is some money, go and get some and I want change!!" So off I walked in search of the market at the nearest town known as San Antonio... Walking along trying to stare everybody out, a man as black as night jumped out of a bush on me and said "Eh Delboy" I replied "what you staring at?" (in a very harsh Pompey accent") the man didn't understand "buy me beans he said - they're magic beans my friend, they'll take you off to another land where everything is warm and colourful" I was slightly interested but the man stopped me walking so I was still gonna bash him up.. "trust me brother, you'll love it, give me your beer money and it will be worth it" He must have caught me on a chilled out day because I thought "why not" I paid the money and headed home... Suddenly when I caught side of Vinnie standing at our front door, I realised that I had no beer, no money and a lot of trouble to look forward to....

Vinnie went mad, cursing, hitting walls, head butting fridges, foaming at the mouth and then screamed "YOU FOOL... they're not magic, i'll show you and your magic beans and with that he stuffed them in my mouth and made me eat them.. I felt so bad that I couldn't even enjoy annoying all the other holiday guests with my boys... A short while went past and something had happened to my hearing, it had become really good as all I could hear from the next doors hotel, was the gentle beat of house music (native to Ibiza) without knowing it, my leg and foot started to tap, my head started to nod, my finger was waving on its own as if the music was moving me and then.... WALLOP, Ahhhhhh I inhaled deeply, the light bulb above me looked awesome, everyone around me was brilliant, everything was amazing, my skin felt good, the plastic of the chair was the best ever and over the wall came a familular face and his smile said "alright Delboy, feeling good?" I dont know whats happening but I love you and im the best dancer in the world and started to rub myself, and crunch my teeth!!

My friends didn't like this magical land i was in and shouted at me, I didn't care "there is no need to shout I said, relax... Listen!! Listen, feel the music" with that I left in search of other people like me in my new land... What I found was a collection of some awesome, weird and wonderful people in a mighty fortress known as "Space" When I left Space and returned to the normal land, everything seemed different to the world I had once been in, everything was different somehow, calmer, easier and nicer, people were there to be friends with, not enemies...

My friends didn't want to know and once home in the land known to us all as England... I quit my job, bought some decks, become addicted to them - made a fantastic circle of friends that I now hold very dear to me and im going back to school to enrole in "Music Tech and Production" - What a holiday!!

If you see me out, come talk to me if you want but as you can see, I talk a lot of rubbish and i'll probably be in Jacks Land... Have fun, we only get one go!!! Laters x

UPDATE

At the riskof sounding arrogant, after eight months I think im a good standard now with both CD and vinyl and im very keen to play out however, I have decided to keep it for a year on and then hit you all with it - Those new friends that I spoke of are even dearer to me now and have helped me along my path of discovery, life wouldn't be the same without them. Punchfunk till I die!!!
