Ez people, I was known as "noizee-b" on here, but dsi decided to mess it all up, so I've had to put up a new profile online and add my buddies all over again!
Been mixing since 1999- first started playing out properly in 2003 at Platform 5 in Coventry for Safe+Sound, and then Fidget, that year I also played at Sundissential @ The Sanctuary, and Fidget vs. Hard Ground @ Decades in Birmingham.
Platform 5 nightclub then closed right at the beginning of 2004 which saw me also to stop playing Hard Dance then as I really didn't like the way the music was progressing. I'd after some re-discovery, faith & great nights out I was pushing myself in DJing for Hardcore and some d&b events. I love both styles of music just as much, and due to me showing my face around being a 17 year old 5'7 rarely-shaving little chimp, I was starting to play out almost every weekend playing over in Leicester, Birmingham, Nottingham, Hinckley, Bedfordshire as well as gaining residencies in Coventry and also running my own Hardcore night; "Escape".
In 2005 after the much success the Escape events had I was to put it on pause for a while due to personal commitments with myself & my family- and then after planning on putting the events back on I lost my job & a close friend of mine sadly passed away. I held a Christmas party which was successful but it wasn't the same for me due to quite a few things. Asides all the negativity, it saw more bookings in Leicester (love it there everytime) and bigger bookings such as Liquid Rush, Konnection, Hardcore Express, It's all about me, Bounce 2 this + much more. I also won a DJ competition (first & last I would enter) at The Lounge in Coventry, first prize (me) was to win a bottle of Champagne, future residency at The Lounge & a 1 hour set of Kix 96.2fm (now Touch FM). I recieved the champers, but the rest- heeeeeeeeh. This showed me why DJ comps are bullshit! :)
2006 I played at the Innovation in the sun warm-up party covering for another DJ, I was also booked at The Emporium in Coalville but sadly the Old skool room didn't open due to whichever reasons they were! I also played at OC's in Birmingham a couple of times and they were good gigs, especially the bank holiday sunday special in August! I was pretty quiet in 2006 mainly because after quite alot of personal experience I'd really fell out of love with alot of the music that was coming out and it really did get to me. But in a way I'm kind of glad this happened as my faith had re-installed after some great gigs to play at and nights out. Main nights re-installing my faith were Flashback's 10th birthday, Slammin Vinyl NYE NEC, Cruze-in 10 & 11, Extreme Overload, and seeing the Chili Peppers at the Ricoh with 35,000+ heads being the main ones! :) Also can't forget Godiva festival 06, celebrating my 19th birthday that day and then we managed to crawl under a tent to see The Fratellis. Nice one Jay & Sean hahahaha ;)
2007 was also a rather successful year, with slots at "Happy 2B Hardcore" "Cruze-in 12" "Fire & Ice" and "New Generation" (twice). Also going to some good nights out at The Glasshouse & The Colosseum in Coventry, Godiva Festival (what a day to celebrate my 20th birthday!), The Sanctuary in Brum, Cruze-in parties, free parties etc, and especially NYE NEC!
2008 couldn't have started off better with gaining a residency at New Generation, now having the chance to play regularly with such dance legends as The Ratpack, Top Buzz, 808 State, DJ SS and more big names on a regular basis. I have more bookings to follow Old Skool & D+B Wise such as Back 2 Skool. I've also played on Hillz FM 102.6 twice this year which also broadcasts online at www.thehillz.net as well and also played on Concrete Jungle's show on www.aftershockradio.com Just hoping to boost the bookings even more, just gotta keep getting myself more well known!
Anyway- I am Phil/Noizee B, 20, from Holbrooks - Coventry, and I fucking love to party, mix tunes, I drink alot of Tea, and buy too many records, all with the best people on the planet- my friends & family.
Big shouts to my folks, Ruth (Sister), Uncle Baz, Mark Smithers, Tom, Moe, Jason [even though my arm is fractured atm thanks to you!], Swede, Scarlet & Tereen, Neville, Floss, Spinna, Ian, Ryan, Lloyd, Tidge, Ady, Craig E.Moson, Nathan, Rob May, Neil, Louie, Mark, DJ Cruze & Hevhog, Shazza & Dave, Culley & Zoe, Barry Diston & the many Fidget punters, Paul - Laura & Reece, Foundnation records/Saucered crew, Urban Troopers, Freakbeat, & Forward Records for everything! More names I really could mention, these instantly spring to mind!
Nuff love from the cheeky Hardcore Junglist blinkin badman, Noizee 'Bastard' B! ;)
