A bit about PyKsY

Hello there! Friend! Welcome to my little bit of DSI
I guess you're wondering what i'm like, since you have found your way here, in the quagmire of the interweb...
Well, i'm a lot like most other human beings... you could in fact say, very similar!...........
That may sound like a slightly odd and obvious sort of thing to point out, although what is not always so obvious is the importance of this basic fact. It is our similarities that unite us all in the global family... We're in this together, whether we like it or not, so surely it makes sense to help each other out, rather than compete with each other? This is something that is not emphasized enough... and something I try to remember every second of every day.

Another basic thing that seems to have been largely forgotten, especially by certain World Leaders (and also tends to occupy my head-space quite a lot,) is how beautiful and miraculous life is!
Just think... from nothing but a few rocks and gases and a lot of empty space, to the wonders of Life, The Universe and DSI!

Ever since the first cavemen decided to bash rocks rhythmically, music has been an integral part of our various cultures, it is an expression of emotion, the language of the soul. Therefore, the music we listen to often reflects our personality.
In my earlier, troubled teenage years, Rock was my chosen genre, being into bands like Nirvana, Slipknot, il Nino, Soulfly and other angry/depressed stuff.

A big part of me settling my mind was when i discovered rave music, and started going to raves every weekend, both clubs and illegal FreeParties. I love the unity, the freedom to be yourself without fear of being judged.
I love the euphoria of Trance and other forms of dance music, the feeling of appreciating and celebrating being alive. Forgetting, even for a few hours about all the hurt and pain in life.

I have also loved chillout/lounge/coffeshop music for a long time now, the yin to the yang of dance music!

PSYTRANCE!, Trance, Freeform, Hardcore, Hard House/Trance, Drum & Bass, Techno, House, Old Skool, Breakbeat, Jazz, Chillout, Soul, Reggae, Ska, Trip Hop (& a bit of Hip-Hop & Rock!)

I am a member of GreenPeace, and demonstrate against anything that harms our environment. After all, it is our source and our destination. Our planet needs all the help it can get from all the greedy world leaders. I feel like i'm giving something back to Mother Nature for allowing me the pleasure of living here. I also try to actively promote an aware, responsible and caring attitude in everyday life, not only towards our environment, but also each other.

After travelling round India a couple of years ago, Eastern Philosophy and Religion are of great interest to me, i practice meditation daily to calm and invigorate my mind.
I find it helps me keep my priorities right by keeping things in perspective. I try to appreciate and love every other thing in this existance for their essence and beauty.
