Ez Im Tom otherwise known as DJ Quest, im a Jungle/DnB & Old Skool DJ, ive been DJin for a long time nearly 20 years & i still love it. I like alot of other music aswell & occaisionally play Old Skool Hip Hop, Funk, Soul & Rare Groove sets with a bit of Reggae, Ska & other bits n bobs thrown in aswell.
I grew up in Kent & London, i lived in Plymouth for 10 years then moved to Essex & now living near Southampton.
My 1st break as a DJ was at a night called Jungle Soundclash which was a big Rave in London in the mid 90s, i got a residency for them through working in a record shop (It aint what you know, its who you know!) I played there most weeks for about 18 months alongside all the top names & thats where i cut my teeth really.
I used to promote nights in Plymouth, namely Element at the now closed down legendary venue The Dance Academy & another night called Jungle Fresh at various diffrent venues over a 10 year period.
I have DJ'ed all over the place aswell, far too many to list em all so heres a taster....
Cocoshebeen @ Opera House in Bournemouth, Legends of the Dark Black in Brighton, Bounce in Norwich, Timecode in Bristol, Dusk till Dawn in Kent, Exklusive in Newquay, Glastonbury & Eclipse festivals & i also hosted the Jungle Fresh arena at the Park Live festival in Devon. I was also resident for legends of the Dark Black in Plymouth for 5 years.
Ive never played abroad, ive had opportunities but had commitments over here with my nights so i couldnt do it. Bummer!
I played in Guernsey once does that count. lol
Im now out of the promotion game but never say never eh!
