A bit about RobWorth

I was first introduced to the underground sound by local and international DJ/Producers who played at the Warehouse club and the Dance Academy in Plymouth where I went to Uni. These included Paul Alexander, Tom Costello, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, John Digweed, Tony De Vit & Nick Warren to name just a few. Hearing these guys play amazing sets inspired me to learn how to dj.

In 2000 I moved back to my home town of Bristol where I met Jay Russell and realised that we had a similar taste in music (Funky/Progressive & Electro House). So we teamed up and started to play out in Bristol and the surrounding areas for events such as:

Slinky @ Creation (Bristol), Empathy @ Bristol Academy, Vagisness @ Depot (Bristol), Roll On @ Bar Latino (Bristol)(which we promoted), Play @ Level (Bristol), Vayge @ Timbuk2 (Bristol) & Sumo @ Clwb Ifor Bach (Cardiff).

In 2005 I decided to pursue a solo career playing various styles of music ranging from House through to Techno. My achievements to date include 3 residencies for nights in Bristol. In July 2006 a new House,Breaks and Techno night was launched by DJ/Promoter Olivia Zabell called Dirty Blue @ the Arc Bar. Dirty Blue's ethos is to put on a quality party whether it be a local rookie, up and coming dj/producer or a well known name playing, it doesn't really matter as long as the party goes off!. Dirty Blue has a strong foundation as the resident dj's are from some of the best nights in bristol such as Empathy,Chicago & Drama.
I am proud to be a resident for Dirty Blue as its one of my favourite nights in Bristol. Drama @ Timbuk2 is a wicked afterparty that has been going from strength to strength for 12 months now and each party has been amazing. playing for The Zoo @ DoJo Lounge has also been a great experience for me. In September 2006 I got my international debut when I was asked to play for Empathy (which is one of Bristol's best & most respected House nights) at the Orange Corner in San Antonio (Ibiza). More recently I have had gigs in Thailand playing b2b with Olivia Zabell (Dirty Blue resident/Promoter) in Bangkok on new years eve 2007 and on the island of Phuket Jan 2008 which was amazing.

With 10 years of Djing now behind me, my aim for the future is also to produce my own music so watch this space...
