Rory McAlister - One of the ORIGINAL Chicago South Side street architects of House Music '78-'81 (alongside the likes of Wayne Williams, Jesse Saunders, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Tony & Andre Hatchett, Alan King & Vince Lawrence). Cut a bootleg in 1985 entitled "I Like Percussion" under the name Jack N. Madness (my production aka at the time) which to this day goes down in Underground House history as the first House Mix Plate (on vinyl)! Relocated to Las Vegas in late '83, and have been a staple in the marketplace since early '84 originating the House movement here via radio & commercial mix shows. Twenty-three years later I'm still doing radio here @ 98.5 KLUC www.kluc.com, and serving the music industry as a local promotions consultant through my company Record Systems (since '86) while staying true to original Soulful House Music via special events I partake in as a DJ/Promoter.
