I'm Sam Newman from Bromley in Kent and I've been about a bit from the old skool raver days in 92 all the way through to now.....It all started in an Aircraft Hanger up in Wisbech where 20,000 people gathered for VISION.

From then on I was hooked and was a regular at raves like Raindance, World Dance, Elevation, Life and Utopia, Orange, Telepathy and Clubs such as Lazerdrome and Astoria (Not the gay night I must stress :o)

Today I love to play House music and am lucky enough to have played at most of the big clubs in London as well as abroad in places such as Marbella, Alcudia and Ibiza along side names such as Roger Sanchez, David Guetta, Brandon Block and more.

It hasn't always been that way. I started DJing back in 1993 at local parties and on pirate radio under the name DJ Timesoldier (Much to the amusement of my friend's today) Back then, I used to play Hardcore / Jungle / Intelligent Drum and Bass. I packed it in for a while as I couldn't be arsed going record shopping into London every week to keep up with the latest tracks.

I have to thank my good friend Jesse James who runs Connected! for convincing me to get back involved in 2005 now that music is more readily available via the internet and MP3 etc. - It's given me a new lease of life and although I don't really play more than one gig a month due to other interests, I absolutely love the feeling of watching a crowd move to my beat....there's nothing like it !


At home I love listening to and playing House Music of all genre's (it's all House at the end of the day) and in particular love to hear any sets old and new by Masters at Work, X-Press 2, LTJ Bukem, Erick Morillo, Ellis Dee, Jay-J, Sandy Rivera, Layo & Bush Whacker, Steve Lawler, Darren Emerson, Felix Da House Cat, Fabio and Rampling.

I also often frequent the Island of Mallorca having lived there for 2 years and have been known to have the odd "holiday" in Ibiza.
