1989 is where it all began for me. I began my dance music days listening to some of the many pirate stations in London like Sunrise, Fantasy FM and CenterForce 88.3. I wondered what it was all about and became fascinated by the rave scene and the music. In the summer of ‘93 I started buying records and learnt how to mix on a pair of old belt-drive decks, spending hours on them every night trying to get it right. Once I had started going out raving in early ’94, and experienced what the djs were doing I realised that I wanted to be the one behind the decks.



Two years and more than enough raves down the line, I decided to try and get myself onto a London pirate station. I joined RadioActive 90.6 FM in March 1996 and stayed with them for around a year, building up my experience. During the latter half 1998 Addiction 95.2 FM hit our airwaves in London playing upfront hardcore, old skool and drum & bass. Addiction quickly became a known name in the London hardcore scene, and indeed, people across the country caught wind of us. Off the back of Addiction I played at numerous events during 1999, such as Rave Nation, Dreamscape, Club Labyrinth, Epidemik and others. Addiction also staged two events of their own called 'Addicted To Dance' @ The Pleasure Rooms in Tottenham, London. The station had to cease broadcasting in February 2000 due to financial difficulties, but it was then that I was invited to join the ranks of Eruption FM, where I now play an upfront hardcore show 8-10 on Sunday nights, back-to-back with Sc@r. During the Autumn of 2000 I decided it was time I ventured into the studio, so with the help of Devastate (big up Dave!), made some tracks and started trying to push my name as a producer. Hardcore vinyl was in short supply around then, so came up with the idea of starting my own record label in an effort to get more vinyl out there. Raw Elements was born.

I have been involved in 15 of the 24 releases so far, and have had tracks on many compilations such as Clubland Xtreme Hardcore, Bonkers, Helter Skelter, Original Hardcore, Decadance and many others. Got loads of new tracks in the pipeline too so exciting times are ahead!

Since the days of Addiction my bookings have been regular, and aside from being a Raindance resident for the past 9 years I also played for the likes of HTID, Slammin' Vinyl, Hardcore Heaven, Uproar, United Dance, Hardcore Evolution plus countless others. I have dedicated a big portion of my life to the scene, and working behind the decks week in, week out is now a permanent fixture in my life.

During the past three years I have teamed up with Dj Sc@r and we now play very regularly together. We work amazingly well as a team, playing very similar styles, and she has even taught me how to dance behind the decks! We've had successful tours to Canada, Australia & Belgium as well as more international forays to the United States coming up. We are in the process of launching a new digital label in the next few months, and with a huge amount of tracks about to be unleashed, Raw Elements are here to stay :)
